She saw them laugh, she saw them fight.

She saw them sleeping on her lap when schedules were tight.

She saw them passing love letters and exchange those hesitant smiles.

On the farewell day when everyone waved goodbye.

The school bus also cried.

"Cancer," the doctor's report said.

"Cancer: You will have a brilliant day," said the newspaper.

The eight-year-old wondered why everyone was crying.

"You've never expected such end in your story?" Her friend asked.

"I never expected an end in my story with him."

I'm not a perfect friend, I can make mistake anytime. But still, I love those people who stay with me after knowing the real personality behind me.

"You write so beautifully, why don't you show it to the world?" she asked.

"I just did." He replied.

There she was, sleeping with her head on her mother's lap.

Then, alarm rang and she stared at the hostel's blank walls.

You're gone now, but I still hold one in my hands to make them smell like yours.

They knew they had fun, for the phones remained in pockets. And no one took a selfie.

Breathless, read the first song. We don't talk anymore, the last one read.

You backspace, you delete.

You edit everything you  write now, from poems to stories but never erase the conversations on the back of your notebook.

The reckless driver hit the man who was trying to cross the road.

"Can't you see?" the driver shouted.

"Do you mean you can't see either?" the visually challenged man asked as he got back up on his knees.

Her wrist watch is stuck on this for the last 5 years.

For her, time stopped the day they saved her from drowning, instead of her son.

Her friends asked, "How did you guys start talking; WhatsApp or Facebook?"

She replied, "Eyes."

A man walked out of the adoption center carrying the little one in his arms.

The cat sighed as yet another dog found a home.
