Chapter 14

Veros POV

Sam ran out the door and I ran after her. I'm not gonna let her run away again. Not this time. Tracked her back to the old cherry tree in the backyard. The one we would go to when we just wanted to get away from anyone and everyone. I walked up to her and placed my hand on her shoulder. "What do you want vero." I slightly frowned. "What do you think I want Sam. No matter how hard I try I can't get you out of my head. I needed you I still need you but you keep fucking leaving." I started to yell I looked at Sam. She was taken aback surprised that I said something so emotionally filled. She looked at me. Her eyes glossed over. "Why can't you just forget it's all in the past." I felt a pang to my heart. "Fine. Tell me that you don't love me and I'll leave you alone!" I looked her in the eye. "TELL ME".

Sams POV
I just looked at him. It's the first time he ever really showed his feelings. I was surprised. Shocked. And I couldn't help but have a warmth fill me as he said he needed me. But I can't help but to feel "scared. I'm scared. I'm scared of loving you because what if I'm. Not really everything you want. What if I'm just not eno-" he crashed his lips on to mine and as we moved in sync i could feel something that I wouldn't let my self feel before. "Sam tell me you love me." I looked him in the eye. "I-i love you vero." He pulled me in and embraced me. In a hug. We stayed like that for a while before he pulled away. "Sam you know what you have to do right. What we have to do." I nodded. He grabbed my hand and we slowly walked back into the building and towards my fathers office.

Veros POV
I can't describe the overwhelming feeling I have. Usually I would be cold and distant but I just had to try one more time and it worked. She wants me. She loves me. Whoever said men with cold cold souls can't have warm hearts is a liar. We walked into vitallys office and I looked toward Derrick aww shit. I fucking forgot. Hopefully the doc has a trick under his sleeve that will help him get back to his normal state. "Sup v. I'm gonna take Derrick here and see if I can get him "patched up". You can talk to Sam, y'all need to figure some shit out." I walked out of the room and quietly closed the door behind me. "So vero what did u do to me this time." I sighed oh boy.

Sams POV.
I watched as the person I love and my best friend walked out the door. And faced the person I've wanted to forget. "Sammy please talk to me. This is something that you need to know you need to understand what's going to happen after i die."  "Ugh" I sat in the chair in front of his desk. We stared in silence for a couple of minutes. Just thinking silently. I looked at him. I guess it's time to put my big girl panties on. "Fine." He looked at me bewildered. "Fine?... really. You'll take over the company. You don't have to continue the mafia we're like a family and if anyone tries to cause trouble. You know the precautions we have to take and the choices you have to make." I sighed. I really regret not fucking trying to make peace with him. Instead I tried to kill him.  I am not winning the best daughter award any time soon. " dad how long do you have to live."  He took a long breath. "They say three to seven years. And I'm hoping to spend the rest of the time I have left with my daughter if you would let me."  I looked at him. Our eyes glazed over trying not to cry cause we're both to stubborn to show weakness. I sniffled. " thank you d-dad."  I got up and gave him a bone crushing hug. I've needed this.

Victoria's POV.
I've been pacing and pacing my floor. I got a call from vero sayin that everything is taken care of and I'll have Derrick back very soon. Now normally I would go bust some ass but when vitally says he's going to do something he does it and  I'm not about to mess that up. Maybe Derrick will still want to be a little and would want to watch cartoons and eat some good food. I put naruto on and started making his favorite Mac and cheese.

Derricks POV.
Vero looked at me sheepishly. Every time I fucking come here. "Does it have something to do with magic and that woman." He nodded. "That woman is your girlfriend" I started laughing. Vero just looked at me. "Wait wait really. That woman. Is my girlfriend how the fuck did that happen". I'm so confused "and that's why we're here to see if doc can reverse his magic."  He opened the door and shoved me in. "I wonder if Sam likes it as rough as you do jeez". He gave me a pointed look. I just rolled my eyes. "Sup doc. So here's the thing. We need you to somehow give Derrick
His memory back." I looked at vero while he just acted like it wasn't a big deal "only you vero. U really have a way of getting on people's nerves. Come on kiddo hop on the fun table" I just looked at him. "You should really stop talking to people like that it's fucking creepy."  I laid down on the table and braced myself. If that woman is really my girlfriend. I want to be able to remember every memory. Let's get this over with.
