The Lost Rose [COMPLETE]

Three: Unexpected Meeting

Rose P.O.V

As I heard the music in my ears, I took in the view of my new neighborhood. It was quiet and peaceful here, the breeze felt nice, the trees swaying with the sun rising in between them, it was like nothing I've ever seen before in my life... I saw a bench in between two cherry trees, looking at my phone, I had enough time to at least sit down for a few minutes. I walked over to the bench and sat down, closing my eyes, finally at peace with my surroundings. I felt myself smiling, which I hardly ever do anymore...

I opened my eyes back up and looked to my left, and I saw a group of four people.  Seeing them, I got really nervous and my ears went down. Hopefully they don't hurt me...

"-Lin, why don't you go flirt with some guy or something?" I heard one of them say and one of my ears perked up. "But there's no one I know, besides, most of the guys are pervs..." I saw him cross his arms in the distance, I giggled lightly at his remark. Before I knew it, one of them looked at me, along with the rest of the group, and then I was scared again. I started shaking slightly when one of them was walking over to me.

"Hey you okay miss?" I heard someone say, I looked up nervously with my ears down. He had short black hair with a small portion covering one of his eyes, dark gray eyes that looked like the night sky, and he had the most concerned and caring face that I haven't seen in a long time and his voice showed worry and curiosity. I felt my cheeks heat up a little bit.

"U-uhm yeah I'm okay..." I said with nervousness in my voice, I sounded like a scared child who just experienced something terrible. 

"It's okay. I won't hurt you." I saw him smile at me, he had the most caring voice... Hearing that, I started to calm down. And for the first time in so many years... I smiled again, with my ears perking up a bit. His ears went down a bit but they didn't look like they went down because of sadness, I saw a bit of red on his cheeks. Does he like me?  I thought. My nerves started to act up again as I saw another one of the group approaching me and him.

"Hey there! I'm Ben!" Ben apparently said to me. My eyes widened a bit due to surprise and shock. He had black hair too but it was slightly longer than the kind boy's, his eyes were gray too but they were lighter too.

"R-Rose..." I said with my voice cracking a bit. I'm so pathetic... "That's a pretty name!" The kind boy said. "I'm Dan!" Dan... That name sounds familiar to me... Dan seemed to have that look on his face too.

"And over there behind my little brother is our short little sister Sushi, and our good friend Lin."

Sushi chimed in saying, "I'm not that short!" I saw Dan and Lin laugh. I giggled a bit too. I saw Sushi walk over to me, she had light gray hair with black at some tips, and a purple eye, one of them was covered for some reason. "It's a pleasure to meet you Rose." She smiled and offered her hand to shake, I took it in mine, shook it and smiled at her.
Lin had black hair that was short with his bangs almost covering his eyes, he was also wearing a few gay pride pins, and to my knowledge I assumed that he was gay. "I'm Lin, nice to meet you!" I smiled again. "Nice to meet you too!"

We all talked for awhile and got to know each other a bit, slowly regaining my confidence, I stood up with my ears perked up, not being so shy anymore since I got used to everyone, and I just smiled.

As we were all talking, I felt something strange, like something or someone was watching us... Feeling that presence. I froze up and my ears lowered... All I heard was them asking if I was okay...

Something was going to happen... And I could feel it coming...
