Sixteen: Reunited

Rose P.O.V

I buried my face into Dan's shoulder as me and him embraced. I pulled back and looked up at him, he smiled down at me. My ears went down and I smiled back at him. I saw his cheeks turn a faint light pink. I felt the same on my cheeks and I looked down, he lifted my head up by my chin and pressed his  lips to mine again. I felt my face heat up but I relaxed into the kiss, wrapping my arms around his neck. We did this for a few seconds, and it felt like minutes. We pulled apart to where our faces were just centimeters apart.

"I've been wanting to do that for a long time..." He said looking down with his ears down. I looked at him, "Me too Dan." He looked up. "W-wait really?" I nodded in reply. "Of course Dan! You're my best friend! I actually want to be more than that..." I looked down blushing. He took my hand and intertwined it with his. I looked up.

"I love you Rose, so much." I smiled at him. I stood up on my tip-toes, "I love you too, so much..." He wrapped his arms around my back and brought me closer to him, I looked up at him and kissed him yet again.

"Uh Rose?" Me and Dan released from the kiss and I looked at who just said my name, it was Sushi. "What's up Sushi?" I said with concern, she started smiling at me. "I think there's someone here to see you." My ears went back a bit. "Huh?" Everyone started backing up away from the person. When I saw who it was... I started tearing up...

"Roselyn? Is that you?" I felt myself start to shake, without realizing, I was running.

"M-mom!" I ran to her. She stood up and started running to me. "Roselyn!" we both crashed into each other and embraced tightly. We both started sobbing uncontrollably. I felt her stroking my hair softly as we were crying. "I thought I lost you..." I said, muffled in her shoulder, still crying. We both pulled apart and my mom put her cheek on my face, she smiled at me. "Oh look how much you've grown... You're such a beautiful girl. I'm so proud of you." I smiled at my mom, I hugged her again. "You have no idea how much I missed you mom... Me and Dad.. we..." I stopped talking and my mom lifted my head up.

"Where is dad Roselyn? Is he home?" I looked down, "N-no..." I saw all the others look at me, only Dan, Sushi, Ben, and Lin knew... "Roselyn?"

"D-Dad's in j-jail..." I looked up at my mom and her eyes went wide. "What? Why?" I looked down again, I looked to the right and saw Dan stand next to me and hold my hand, he looked at my mother.

"Hello Rose's mom, I'd be willing to explain it to you." My mom looked at Dan, "Yes, I would like an explanation please, I would like to know why her father and my husband is in jail." Dan looked at me, I nodded, then he looked back to my mother.

"Well, Rose told me about her past, including you and her father, the fight with you and the man and your disappearance. Well, after your disappearance, Rose's father had developed depression, assuming that you were gone forever, Rose was sad too. She would try to cheer her father up but it wouldn't work. Soon after, he started drinking to get rid of it, it only made the depression worse and he started changing, eventually putting all of his problems on Rose and blaming her for them, and he would hurt her whenever that happened. This continued until one night, the night I saved her, she wasn't wearing her headband and her father got mad at her. She was so frightened. Then we reported him to the authorities and now, he's in jail."

My mother was in complete shock and was tearing up. I was tearing up too. "Rose.. I'm so sorry..." I looked at her and hugged her, "It's not your fault mom..." I looked at Dan with worry.

"Rose's mom it's not your fault, he should've known not to do that." My mom looked at him, "Please, call me Emily, or just mom," she smiled. Me and Dan both looked down, my face heated up and his probably did too. Dan looked back up "H-how did you-?" "I saw you two kissing and holding hands. "Oh." I giggled lightly.

"Roselyn, do you want to see your father..?" I looked at my mom, "As long as you're with me, then yes..." We both smiled. I then realized something.

"Hey mom?"

"Yes sweetheart?"

"You're a wolf right?" She looked at me with her ears up, she nodded. I smiled. Everyone looked at me, I looked at Dan, he smiled. I looked down at the floor and closed my eyes. I took a few deep breaths and I felt my body start to change. I was then standing on all fours, my mom looked down at me with shock. "you've taken after me. I was kind of hoping that you would take after your father haha." I smiled, then I closed my eyes and turned back. "We should go home," Ben suggested. "I agree, my sleep got interrupted." We all started laughing. "Do you still know the way back home mom?" She looked at me. "How could I forget?" I smiled.

And with that, we all walked home, and forgot about everything bad.
