When They Comeback

Chapter 2

*JAYDENS POV*

It turns out I had all my classes with Luke. He actually seems pretty cool. I felt bad for calling him cocky so I apologized and we started talking. We are now in the middle of he game 20 questions.

"What is your favorite animal?" Luke asked me. It was the end of the day so we were in cooking class and we were attempting to make apple crisps, while talking.

"Um... Monkey, what about you."

"Penguin, what's your favorite-" Luke and I were interrupted by a loud beeping sound. And just like that all eyes were on us.

"LUKE THE APPLE CRISPS!!" We had forgotten all about our apple crisps when we were asking our questions. Since it was the first day we had no clue how to use the oven, so the beeping sound would not turn off. Luke grabbed the oven gloves and opened the oven to get our apple crisps out, but as he was doing so he hit the top of the oven with his glove only to have it catch on fire (yes it is possible it actually happened to me lol-Kenzie), causing me to scream.

"Luke OMG your on fire!" I grabbed the water fosit and squirted the water onto the fire, luckily putting it out. We both sighed in relief as we looked at our now burnt/soggy apple crisps. If I thought all eyes were on us before I was wrong, now all eyes were on us including the teachers.

No one talked or said anything which made it kinda awkward in a funny way. Luke looked at me and I looked back at him and before we knew it we bursted out laughing!

"Luke, Jayden are you alright," the teacher asked us taking a step closer to us.

"Y-yea, yea" we said in between fits of laughter.

The teacher who's name I still haven't learned gave us a whole lecture on cooking safety. I zoned out through half of it though, and I'm pretty sure Luke did to. Even though I just met him I think we will be best friends.

After school I met Luke at his locker which was only two down from mine.

"You ready?" I questioned.

"Yup" we were gonna walk home together. About half way through the walk I wanted to say something to break the silence.

"You know I didn't mean it when I said you were cocky right, your actually pretty cool and I think if you want we can be friends I mean since your new and all..."

Luke didn't answer for a couple seconds but chuckled and said, " I don't want to be friends with you."

With that my smile slowly faded until he finished.

"I want to be best friends with you!" My smile quickly appeared and I hugged him. I have a feeling this friendship is going to work out. We still didn't know a lot about each other so we decided to continue our game of 20 questions, because we were so rudely interrupted by our oven.

After plenty of questions I knew so much about Luke. I knew his favorite bands, how he likes to sing, can play the guitar, how he loves pizza, and so much more. And he learned just the same about me like how I play guitar too and I don't listen to a lot of bands but the ones I do listen to, I listen to them almost religiously.

We finally got to my house and Luke was about to leave to his house but I stopped him.

"Wait Luke, wanna hang out after school tomorrow?"

"Um yea sure, here's my number" and with that we exchanged numbers, and said our goodbyes. I know I said this like five times already but I feel like I should say it again, I think this gonna be that start of a great friendship.

*DYLANS POV*

Today was Friday meaning the weekend was finally here! All I have to do is get through today then I'm good till Monday. I walk into class and see Tyler talking to Dani. Shes been with her all week, not talking to the group at all.
