Alison's POV
2 weeks of school has passed and I haven't seen that guy around school anywhere. It's really been worrying me, but I know I can't do anything about it.
I'm going to the store for my mom to pick up a few things. Ugh, why can't she do this herself?!
I'm going down the bread aisle to grab a loaf a bread and something catches my eye, so I snap my head to the left and saw black skinnies walking away. I furrowed my eyebrows in thought. Nah it couldn't be that dude.
I shake it off and walk over to the fridges to grab some milk. The same figure passes and I spin around to the right. He stopped in his tracks and we were just staring straight at each other. It was the same boy I hadn't seen since that day.
"I'm sorry." I blurt without thinking. I look away shyly.
He shot me a confused look, then it softened. He started walking towards me, I froze with a confused look.
"Why are you sorry? I was the one who just walked away.. I mean I'd tell you, but I obviously don't know you." he chuckled nervously.
"I'm sorry because I made you upset." I frowned.
"No really, it's absolutely fine." he smiled at me.
I return the gesture. "Well I better go."
"Alright," he smiled, "see you later."
That was the weirdest thing to happen to me since I saw him a couple weeks ago.
************
I set all the groceries on the counter as soon as I got home, trudged my way to my room, sat on my bed and pondered what had just happened at the store.
I'm deep in thought when my mother yells through the house. "Girls!! Come down please!"
Ugh. What now?
I drag myself up and down the stairs. As soon as I reach the bottom, I'm met with my mother and sister.
My mom takes in a deep breath, "I've been thinking lately.."
"How does it feel?" I mutter under my breath, too quiet for her to hear.
"We should really go somewhere on vacation, but I want your help to decide."
Sarah gasps and immediately says, "Ireland!!! Let's go to Ireland!!!!"
"Whoa, calm down, Sarah." my mom chuckles, "I was thinking somewhere like, not across the ocean..."
"How about we just stay at home and relax?" I suggest. "why do we have to go somewhere else and spend money, when we could stay at home and just deal with buying food?"
Mom looks down and put her finger in her chin as shes in thought.
"Sounds alright, I'll think about it. But, that doesn't mean a yes. I mean, that's a really good idea, just relaxing at home.." she wonders off in thought.
"Well I'm going upstairs now. Bye." I say with a monotone.
I run back up the stairs and pick my guitar up and just play something quiet.
After 10 minutes of just messing on my guitar, I hear my door creak, signaling someone is coming inside my room.
"Hey, Ali?" I hear my sister ask.
"Yeah? What's up?"
"Can you help me with a thing?" she asks almost too quietly.
"Uhm sure, what is it?" I smile.
