Luke's POV

Huh. I never thought my best friend could be a girl, in this case, this friend is Alison. And I guess we're not exactly BEST friends, but we've become really close.

I'm walking down the hall at school when one of the hallways aren't lit and I see a tall figure standing in front of a smaller person, who is pressed against the lockers. I squint my eyes and widen them so quickly. I start walking faster towards the two.

"Hey!! Get away from her!" I yell at the tall guy.

Ali flips her head towards me and now that I'm closer I can see the worry in her eyes.

He steps back from her and starts walking to me.

"What did you say to me?" he asks calmly.

I repeat myself, but more sternly so he can understand.

"I said, GET AWAY FROM HER. What do you think you're doing?!" I scream at him.

"That's none of your business, now is it?" he smirks at me.

Ali finds the right time to run and makes it towards me faster than this dude. She starts pulling me with her.

"Let's just go, I'll explain later." she quietly says.

We get to my car and I start driving towards my place.

"What the hell was that, Ali??" I loudly ask.

She lets out a sigh. "An ex boyfriend that won't leave me alone sometimes. He hasn't done that in a while, not since you came here. I just don't want him doing that anymore, but the more I tell him to stop, the more intense he gets." she explains

"Ali, promise if he ever does that again, you'll tell me?" I ask.

"Of course, Lukey." she smiles.

After we get to my house, we both put our backpacks on the couch and head to the kitchen. Typical.

"So are you doing alright in your classes?" she speaks after taking a bite of a peanut butter sandwich she made.

"Yeah, it's just a little different in Australia, but I'm not having huge problems." I smile.

"Well you know I'm here if you need help." she smiles back.

We decided to watch some movies to pass the time. She chose The Mask, one of my favorites.

During the movie, we sat really close to each other. She started scooting closer, I'm guessing she got cold, so. I grabbed the blanket from the chair next me and draped it over the both of us.

It soon became 10 and she was sleeping on chest. It was the cutest thing ever. I draped my arm over her, fitting it perfectly against her waist.

"I have to take you home, Ali. Get up." I say while shaking her gently.

She stirs awake, sits up, and yawns sleepily.

"But I don't wannaaaa." she drags her words.

"Let's go, it's getting late, it's already past 11 o'clock." I start dragging her through the house to my car. luckily she didn't go to sleep on the way there, because I didn't want to have to wake her up twice.

I carry her from the car to her front door, she opens the door for me, and I carry her to her room.

She gets dressed while I wait outside her door.

She opens her door, still looking just as tired, comes and swings her arms around me, laying her head on my chest.

"Thanks for bringing me home and everything." She says muffled into my shirt.

I quietly laugh at how tired she sounds as I bring my arms around her. "I'm always here, and you know that."

We exchanged goodbyes and I left for home.

After I took Ali home, which she doesn't live more than 3 minutes from here, I got on my laptop and decided to Skype the boys at home.

"Hey, Luke! We miss you so much!" Michael exclaims.

I laugh at his loudness.

"I know, I miss you guys too! It kind of sucks here, but I've made a couple of friends, so it's not too bad." I say proudly.

"Met any girls, hmmm??" Calum wiggles his eyebrows at me.

"Well, this girl Ali. But we're just really good friends, nothing special." I say, causing them all to frown.

"We thought you'd have all the girls all over you, considering our situation." Michael says, referring to being in the band.

"I thought so too, but I like not having everyone all over me for once." I laugh.

"Well we gotta go to school, talk to you later, dude!" Ashton waves, along with all the other boys.

"Yeah, see you!" I laugh as I close the call.

After getting ready for bed, I'd thought about Ali. And maybe that I liked her a little more than a friend. I mean, she's been there for me since I got here, minus those 2 weeks I avoided school. I really need to sleep. I drifted off with Ali running through my head.
