Chapter 1:
Parker's POV

"You're the reason mom is dead!" my brother, Mitchell or Mitch, yelled at me. "If mom wasn't dead, dad wouldn't be abusive!" He pushed me to the floor and I crawled over to the wall.
My life was hell enough with my dad but my brother and his friends were even worse. They were abusive and bullied me constantly. Nothing I did was good enough for anyone anymore. I felt like I was stuck in a hole.
"Just kill yourself!" he spit at me.
He walked away as I made my way to my bathroom and I locked the door. I grabbed my razor with my shaking hand and managed to get the razor blade out. My fingers were already bloody and I was shaking violently with nerves. I put the blade against my skin as I made a small scratch on my left arm. That was the first time I ever cut myself.
Before I knew it the cuts became deeper and I felt like all the pain my brother, his friends, and my father have cause washed away. Blood dripped onto the floor as it slipped from my arm. I had a slight dizzy feeling but I ignored it. After there were about twenty cuts on my left arm I stood up and washed off my arm in the sink until it stopped bleeding and then covered the cuts with gauze. I leaned against the sink and looked at myself in the mirror. My face was red, puffy, and covered in sweat which made my light brown hair stick to my face. There was also a cut on my temple from my brother. The blood coming from it had dried and made my appearance look even worse. I frowned at my reflection. This wasn't a face someone would love for their entire life.
Why was I still alive?
