"I...have no...idea...where we're going." I said, breathing quickly as I continued to pump my legs even though I was thoroughly exhausted. This place was like a maze. It kept going and going and going. I didn't know if we would find an exit. Jace had barely broken a sweat and was running with ease while Adri and I were struggling to continue. I haven't tried to keep track of how long we've run because continuing is hard enough.

I started flapping my wings and I lifted off the ground, flying so my legs could have a break. I could hardly keep up with Adri by flying but it's easier since my legs are tired. How is Adri so much more athletic than I am? Oh wait, I've been here for like forever and she hasn't. She actually had a life in recent months.

"Jace," I say, catching his attention. "Do you know where an exit is?" I finally had my breath back but my wings weren't used to this much work. We turned left and just as I was about to land and run again, we stopped. In front of us were five or six guards that held guns pointed straight at us. I sank to my feet.

"Really?!" I asked no one in particular. This stinks. I wanted to get out of here so bad. Ugh. I walked until I was about five feet in front of the guard closest to me. I lifted into the air and started flying, spinning in slow circles to distract them.

"Get on the ground!" He demanded. All of the guns turned towards me. I stopped spinning when I was facing Jace and signaled him with my eyes to attack the guards. I knew he wouldn't hurt anyone terribly. After having stopped for a moment, I began spinning again, gaining speed. Jace jumped towards the first two guards and two guns clattered to the floor. I spun faster and faster. I hadn't realized I could fly this fast, whether it was spinning in place or flying around.

I tried to slow down but I couldn't without losing my balance and falling to the floor, potentially hurting myself and ruining our escape plan. Well, we didn't really have an escape plan except to get out of here.

I held out my arms for balance and they immediately rose higher with my speed. I closed my eyes and breathed in deeply, trying to calm myself out of this tornado I was creating. My wings bent a bit as I just spun faster. I was getting really dizzy.

"Help." I whispered. Jace looked up, somehow having heard my plea and his eyes went wide. I opened my mouth but no words came out. I tried again. "Adri!" I yelled, fear leaking into my voice. She looked up and closed her eyes. After a minute, I was slowing down until I finally stopped spinning. I sat there in the air, lightly flapping my wings and creating a gentle breeze on the people below me. The men all lay on the ground, guns in a neat pile ten feet away from them. I stopped flapping my wings and fell out of the air, landing in Jace's strong arms and I snuggled myself against him for a moment but Adri cleared her throat.

"We should probably keep going." She said gently. I knew she didn't want to run again. But we had to. So, I dropped down to my own two feet and we began jogging down random hallways again, my thighs and calves burning as much as the base of my wings. Why had I spun uncontrollably? It was weird, like I didn't have the control to stop myself. Why did I even start? I didn't like the feeling that I was getting, being unsure of my abilities and what I was capable of. I was glad though that Adri made me stop spinning.

We ran for what seemed like an endless amount of time until Jace slowed to a stop in the center of a hallway. The whole place was eerily quiet and empty. Adri and I stopped right behind Jace.

"What's wrong?" I asked. "Why'd you stop?" My breathing was so irregular that I felt somewhat dizzy. I lowered to my knees and tried to catch my breath.

"I don't know. Something's definitely wrong though. Have you noticed that this place is pretty much empty except for those men back there? And these halls are like, never ending. Something's up." Jace lifted his face towards the ceiling and looked around. He pointed to a rounded, large black dot and opened his mouth. "Hey! Hey what's going on here?" he yelled to the camera. A silver circle inside of it turned toward us and made mechanical noises as it focused in on the three teenagers standing in the hallway, out of breath.
