Part 30

Starla's POV

It's been a week since I broke up with Magnus and... it's been horrible. Everytime I see him in class I always catch him staring at me with guilty eyes. I would be lying if I said I didnt miss him terribly.

I only did what was best for us given our certain situation. I'm not sure I can trust Magnus... but deep down it's like I don't want our relationship to end. Then suddenly I come to the realization...

I love him...

I finally admit my true feelings but what does that mean for us. With a sigh I pack up my stuff and walk out the classroom, not looking where I'm going I bump into a hard chest.

I look up into Magnus's eyes and I take notice of the dark circles under his eyes. "Star... will you please talk to me" his voice cracks and I can tell he is about to break down.

I nod my head I'll talk to him but that doesn't mean anything. He grabs my hand and pulls me out to the parking lot. Its quiet between us and Magnus just stares at me with a loving expression.

"Star baby... I missed you" he whispers  putting a lock of hair behind my ear. I relish in his touch, I always feel safe when I'm with him but lately I've been feeling... empty.

Suddenly I realize what's happening and I quickly step back from Magnus. I don't want to give him the wrong impression even if I do miss him terribly.

"I'm so sorry... Star baby I want to be with you so bad" he says desperately. I can see how vulnerable he is and for a second I start to feel guilty, but then I remember what he put me through.

"Magnus... I want to be with but I think for right now we shouldn't be together" I say with little emotion. Suddenly he grabs hold of my hands and places it on his chest...

I feel the steady heartbeat of his heart and I stand there confused. "My heart belongs to you.... only you Star baby and if you want me to wait for you..
I will because you mean everything to me".

I gasp as he gently places light kisses on my hand. I never thought someone could feel this way about someone... but with Magnus I feel instant love. Magnus continues to look at me with so much love and I find it hard to breathe.

"Breathe Star baby I don't  want you passing out" he lightly chuckles cupping my face in his large hands. I take in a breath of air and then exhale feeling some relief... why does he make me feel this way?

"Once the baby is born and we find out if I am truly the father... we can decide if we can  be together" he declares. I start to feel scared... what if he is the father, where do we go from there...

He pulls me into his arms and I take in his warmth. Right now I want to stay in this moment for a bit longer...

"So let me get this straight you actually went to talk to him"? Patricia asks appalled that I actually gave Magnus my time. Currently I am at her house and she decided we needed a girls only sleepover.

I roll my eyes "yes Tricia I just wanted to hear what he had to say" I reply painting my nails a baby pink color. "Whoa please don't defend that man I absolutely despise him after what he put you through" she says with distaste.

I gently smile at her, I'm grateful to have her as my friend I don't know what I would do without her. Suddenly I think about her and Noah and their relationship.

"Sooooo... you and Noah are together" I smirk while wiggling my eyebrows. Patricia instantly turns red and I giggle at her embarrassment. "Its not like that... I mean he confessed his feelings for me but I'm not sure I'm really into him" she mutters.

Confused I stare at Patricia while she picks at her nails. "Well maybe you should let him know that... I dont think it's right to lead him on" I answer truthfully.

Noah was the first person I met and he is my bestfriend... I have to stick up for him. "You are right Star... I promise to tell him in a few days... just not now" she whispers looking down.

I pull her into a hug "I'll always be here for you no matter what happens" I say into her ear.

The rest of the night we pig out with a bunch of snacks and watch movies until we fall asleep.
