School went by like usual. The classes were pretty boring and nothing interesting really happened. Well, your chemistry teacher did a pretty cool experiment, but that was about it. The day went by like a breeze, and before you realized it, it was now your last class: math. You mentally groaned at the thought of going to that class, but walked there anyways. As you walked in, you spotted (F/n) at their desk, which was next to yours. Quickly walking over to them, you sat at your desk and started pulling out your notebook and pencil. "You remember what we reviewed last night?" They asked. "Honestly, only about half of it." You replied sheepishly. "But I might remember a bit if we go over it again."

After struggling with multiple questions and reviewing many equations, class was now finally over, and you and (F/n) were packing your things ready to go home. Once off campus, (F/n) takes you to their car and drives you home. Since you had work today, you needed to quickly change out of your school uniform and into your work clothes. You worked part-time at a cafe that was about 10 minutes away from your house by car. You were thankful that (F/n) was able to give you rides to work. Sometimes you felt bad that you were taking time out of their schedule, but they said they didn't mind. What did you do to have such a good friend?

~Time Skip to Work~

When you arrived to the cafe, you said a quick good bye to your friend and then walked inside. It wasn't too busy today, luckily, and you were hoping it would stay like that for a good while. You stepped into the back room, greeted your co-workers, and dropped off your stuff in your locker. After that, your manager, Seo-yun, came up to you. "It's good to see you (Y/n)!" She said, cheerfully. She was always kind and loved to help around. However, if you do something wrong or get on her bad side... Let's just say things won't be pretty. "Hi Seo-yun! What would you like me to do today?" Seo-yun would always assign you to something different everyday. She did this with everyone so that way everybody had experience with the different positions. "Today, you will be taking the orders to the customers." She explained. You were always paranoid of this position because you didn't want to accidentally drop a tray of drinks and desserts onto somebody, but you tried not to worry about it too much. You nodded and started heading towards the front. There was an order that was already placed on the counter, so you picked it up and took it to its designated customer.

~Time Skip~

It's been 3 hours now. Only one more hour to go and then you could go home. It was now almost dark outside, and there were also less people in the cafe. When you didn't have to deliver orders, you would chat with a co-worker, or even check on the customers to see if they were enjoying their drink/dessert. Time went by and soon you would be able to clock out. But before that could happen, you had to take just one more order to a customer. While securely holding the tray, you walked over to the far right side of the cafe where the customer was sitting at. The man had dark brown, almost black hair, and was overall pretty handsome. If you were just a bit older, you might've tried to talk to him, get to know him. But that would never happen. Even if you were of age, he probably wouldn't even pay much attention to you.

Once you were next to his table, he looked up from his phone. "Hello sir," you greeted him with a smile. "How are you doing this evening?" He sets his phone down and smiles back. "I'm doing fine. How about yourself?" "I am also doing well." You replied while setting his things down. He stared at you for a moment, then decided to speak again. "You seem to be pretty young to be working right now." He started. "If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?" You never expected him to be interested in you, let alone talk to you. "I am currently 17, but I will soon turn 18." Before he could ask another question, Seo-yun told you that you were now able to leave. You nodded in her direction, then gathered the empty tray to take back. Just as you were about to depart from your small conversation with the customer, he quickly asked, "What is your name?" You paused and looked at him. He wants to know my name? You thought. Maybe he didn't look at my name tag. "It's (Y/n)." "(Y/n)..." He repeated. The way he said your name made you relax a bit. "My name is Jinyoung."
