You were now back at your house. Meeting Jinyoung was something you had never expected to happen in your life. He was a really nice guy, and didn't seem to mind chatting with you. Your time with him would still play in the back of your head.
~Flashback~
"My name is Jinyoung." He smiled. "Park Jinyoung." You returned the smile and told him that you would be getting your things to go home. Once out of the back room, you saw him now standing by the entrance of the cafe, phone in hand again. "Well," you started, now about to leave. "It was nice meeting you Mr. Park." "It was nice meeting you too (Y/n)." He replied. While you were walking, you felt like someone was watching you. You tried shrugging it off, but it didn't go away until you crossed the street. You felt a little relieved, until a black car pulled up next to you. "Are you really going to walk home this late at night?" The driver asked. You looked in to see who it was, and relaxed when you saw it was Jinyoung himself. "It's ok." You said. "Nothing has happened so far, and I enjoy walking at night." Though, that was partially a lie. Something did happen to you once, and you were glad there was someone near by who heard you, otherwise, you'd probably not be here now. Remembering that day sent a chill down your spine, but reassured yourself that something like that wouldn't happen again. Jinyoung didn't look convinced. Every part of his face told you that he didn't like the thought of you being out so late. He looked almost... Almost like a mother.
You told him that you were fine, and started walking away. Just then, a man came up to you and put his arm around you. "Hey pretty girl~. Wanna come home with me?" His breath reaked of alcohol. You tried moving away from him, but he wouldn't budge. If anything, his grip got tighter around you. He wasn't going to let go so easily. You started pushing against him, even hitting his chest, to make him let go of you. But your attempts just started to tick him off. "You're starting to become really f***ing annoying, you know that?" You looked away as he started raising his hand to hit you, but then his grip on you went away. Looking to where he once stood, you saw Jinyoung standing above the man while he sat on the floor, holding the right side of his face. Jinyoung's face looked furious. He then grabbed the man by his shirt and said, "Don't you ever lay a finger on her again." The man, now afraid, nodded quickly. As soon as Jinyoung let him go, he ran off. When Jinyoung turned to look at you, his face softened, worry taking over his features. "Are you alright? Did he do anything to you?" You looked at him, then down to your feet. Had he not still been close by, something could've seriously happened to you since no one else seemed to be out on the sidewalks other than the 3 of you. "No," you said, almost in a whisper. "He didn't do anything else to me." He breathed a sigh of relief, then smiled gently towards you. "I think it'd be best if I gave you a ride home." Still looking down, you nodded. Even though he was a stranger, he seemed trustworthy enough to get a ride from.
~End of Flashback~
The ride home wasn't so bad. After you had told him your address, you both started talking about yourselves. He told you about where he lived growing up, and some of the things he liked to do, but it looked like he was hiding something. You didn't question him though. You had also told him some of your favorite hobbies, as well as about your school and work life. He had laughed a little when you told him you weren't good at math. Remembering this, you smiled and shook your head. You headed to your room and grabbed some clothes to take a quick shower.
~Mini Time Skip~
Now that you didn't smell like coffee anymore, you dried your hair, then brushed your teeth. After that, you went to your bed and grabbed your phone to start looking through it. You saw that you received a message from an unknown number. Who is this?
Unknown: Hey, are you holding up ok? Just wanted to check on you.
Just who was this?
(Y/n): Who is this?
Unknown: Haha, did you already forget? It's Jinyoung. You gave me your number so I could help tutor you on math.
That's right. After telling him how much you hated math and found it pointless, he offered to help you out. Sure, you already had (F/n) helping you out a bit, but another person helping wouldn't hurt.
(Y/n): Oh yeah! Hehe, sorry about that. And yes, I am doing fine.
Jinyoung: That's good to hear. I was worried that you would still be shaken up after what happened earlier.
You continued texting each other for a few more minutes when you looked at the time. It was 10:28pm.
(Y/n): Hey, I have to get going now. I don't want to wake up late for school.
Jinyoung: Alright. I hope I didn't keep you up for too long. Good night and sleep well.
(Y/n): You too, and thank you for today.
Jinyoung: It was no problem.
With that, you set your phone on your nightstand charging. You got yourself comfortable under your covers, set your head on your pillow, then fell asleep.
