Chapter 4: Terrified

Chapter 4

Lizzy's POV

I jumped up quickly, scrambling to find my sword. Ocean was petrified while as Kirito looked as if he was going to throw up. The douchebags laughed at us, saying this would be too easy and that we probably were noobs. That just pissed me off even more than I was.

Lunging at the closest man, I took my sword and held it close to his throat then said, "If you don't want your comrade to die, I suggest you get out of our way and leave us alone."

The men looked at each other and just laughed at my comment, "Go ahead; we don't really care, and besides, you probably don't have enough guts to do it." Are these guys trying to get a death sentence from me?

I looked at the leader of the group, and ran as fast as my legs could take me, so my punch would have a large impact and screamed, "You bast-!"

Just have an inch away.... I was so close... A searing pain shot through my scalp as someone grabbed ahold of my hair. Before I could react, another guy hit the back of my knees and sent me to the floor. Dang it.... They are just too many of them! I saw Kirito trying to fight some others a few feet away, but where is Ocean?

"Let go of my friend. That is if you don't want a dagger through your precious brain," I looked up to find Ocean pointing a dragger at the man holding me, her face full of hatred and menace.

The man laughed and said the same thing that the other guy said to me about being weak and not having the guts to do it. Boy, was he wrong..... When Ocean gets like this, she will anything to help her friends.

Everyone stopped at once when the man screamed out in pain and fell to the ground, shattering. I watched as Ocean's symbol above her head turned from emerald green to blood red. "Anyone else want to get very friendly with my dragger?" She said with a sickening sweet smile.

The group of men fled like dog with their tails tucked between their legs. It was only a few seconds after they were gone from sight, that Ocean broke down in tears.

"I c-can't believe I j-just killed a guy with my o-own hands!" She said between sobs, with her face buried in her hands.

I plop down on the ground and give her a big bear hug, "It's OK, Lilly! It was self defense and if you didn't we would all probably be dead or at least extremely injured. How about we continue to town and try to get a room in an inn?" She nods and we get up, "Come on, Kirito."

I AM SO SO SO SO SORRY FOR BEING SO LATE ON THE UPDATE!!!!!!! I FEEL LIKE A JERK!!!! :( School just started so craziness upon craziness is just blah. I have been wanting to write this chapter for a while, along with a few other that I am DYING to get to. Also my friend Ryan helped me out with this chapter, giving me this amazing idea. Thank you!!! Also, if you are confused, I am Ocean/Lilly and my friend Lizzy is Joy/Lizzy. I need to sleep right now, so yeah.... :/ Byeeeeeeeee!!!
