Chapter 11: The Waterbending Scroll

Author greeting: First off, I apoligize in the lack of updates to any of my stories as of late. College has been keeping me busy and I recently finished this semester, and now I'm on Christmas break, which means... I got more time to write stories (at least in theory) . Anyway, so I've been tuning in to watch Boruto's English dub on Toonami and I find it to be a good series. Not as good as Naruto [an issue being that Boruto's goal as a ninja is more vague than Naruto's... he wants to be a ninja like Sasuke, but... does that simply mean he wants to defend the Leaf from the shadows or be more like Jiraiya and protect the Leaf by traveling the world... it's a vague goal. Still Boruto is a fun series none the less But we aren't here for Boruto, we are here for Naruto and his next adventure with Aang and company... Let's go!

Appa was flying in the sky, heading north and on top of Appa, Aang was pacing with a worried look on his face.
"Would you sit down? If we hit a bump you'll go flying off! What's bugging you anyway?" Sokka asked.
"It's what Avatar Roku said. I'm supposed to master all four elements before that comet arrives." Aang answered.
"Well, let's see, you've pretty much mastered airbending and that only took you 112 years... I'm sure you can master three more elements by next summer." Sokka replied sarcastically. Aang had a look of terror on his face.
"I haven't even started waterbending and we're still weeks away from the North Pole! What am I gonna do!?" Aang asked. Naruto looked at Aang, he had no idea what to say. Aang and the others had explained what had happened in the Solstice recently. This was quite a situation to be in. Aang put his head in his hands with frustration. Katara soon after took Aang's hand and pulled him towards where she was kneeling. Aang kneeled besides her and she holds his hands.
"Calm down. It's going to be okay. If you want, I can try and teach you some of the stuff I know." Katara suggested.
"You'd do that?" Aang asked. Katara nodded and smiled. She and Aang then crawled to the edge of Appa's saddle to look down.
"We'll need to find a good source of water first." Katara stated.
"Maybe we can find a puddle for you to splash in." Sokka said.

Naruto's eyes were huge as they landed near a giant waterfall, Sokka had a kind of sour look on his face, and Aang and Katara had a look of excitement.
"Nice puddle." Sokka remarked. Appa flew near the water and relanded himself on it. A giant wave from Appa's dive in the water splashed Momo, who was standing on a rock a little ways away. Appa then rolled over on his back, relaxing in the water. Aang quickly took off his airbending robes, leaving his briefs on.
"Yeah! Don't start without me, boy!" Aang called to Appa. Aang was about to charge into the water when Katara spoke up.
"Remember the reason we're here." Aang looked at Katara.
"Oh, right. Time to practice waterbending." Aang replied happily as he grabbed his robes and puts them back on. Naruto looked around... this was a spacious area.
"I think I'm going to find an area around here to train." Naruto told his friends as he charged off to find a training spot.

Sasuke Uchiha and Prince Zuko were hard at work, training on different parts of the ship. Neither of them wanted to train together since they intended to fight Naruto and Aang seperately, but both respected the other enough to try to out of the way of the other's training. As Sasuke ran at a Fire Nation solider holding a spear, armed with a kunai, he felt the ship turn, knocking him, his opponent, Zuko, and his opponent to the side rail of the ship.
"Someone's changing our course." Zuko stated in annoyance.
"Hmph... they should know better to interupt a shinobi's training." Sasuke replied. Sasuke and Zuko nodded to each other and walked to the control room to find out what was going on.
