Taehyung gently sat Yeontan down on the ground before climbing onto Jungkook's lap, never releasing the man from his grasp as he devoured his mouth. Their kiss grew more passionate, and Taehyung felt his heart race with anticipation. Jungkook's hands roamed Taehyung's back, sending shivers down his spine. As they pulled away for a breath, Taehyung whispered, "Let's just see where this takes us," Jungkook nodded, his eyes filled with the same mix of excitement and wonder.

After all, it's not like he could get pregnant.

...... (2 Months Later) ......

The sterile white walls of the emergency room were lined with medical equipment and monitors faintly beeped. Nurses and doctors in scrubs moved swiftly, attending to patients on gurneys and in curtained-off areas. The atmosphere was thick with urgency and tension, as every second seemed to count. The rapid footsteps and hurried conversations among the staff added to the sense of impending crisis. Patients' groans and the occasional sound of a medical alarm heightened the feeling of a high-stakes environment.

"What happened? Is he okay?" Jin glanced up from his paperwork as his wife and two of his sisters-in-law burst through the ER doors. Laying on a stretcher was an unconscious Taehyung, his pale skin making his brown bangs mat to his forehead. Even though his complexion had lost its tan tone, his cheeks remained rosy from the suspected fever.

Jin rushed over and quickly assessed Taehyung's pupils and respiratory system. After checking Taehyung's pulse and blood pressure to ensure his heart rate was stable, Jin instructed the nurses to start an IV line for fluids and medication. Finally, he ordered a full blood panel and a chest X-ray to determine the cause of Taehyung's fever and unconsciousness.

"Ji-Yoo, what's wrong with him?" Jin asked.

Ji-Yoo's face was etched with worry as she struggled to find her voice. "I don't know," she finally whispered, her eyes brimming with tears.

"One minute, Taehyung was fine, talking and laughing, and then he collapsed. We haven't been able to bring him around, and he's feverish," said Ji-Yoo, who is currently nine months pregnant. She patted her flushed cheeks while wiping away her tears. Jin nodded and hugged his wife. His heart ached with worry and helplessness as he held Ji-Yoo close. He tried to remain calm and composed, but the fear of the unknown gnawed at him. His mind raced with possible diagnoses, but all he could do was reassure his wife and hope for the best.

Afterward, he took her to the triage area where they had brought Taehyung. The triage was filled with activity, and the air carried the sterile scent of antiseptic. Monitors beeped rhythmically, while nurses moved efficiently with hushed voices blending into an urgent symphony. The harsh fluorescent lights illuminated the room, casting sharp shadows on the walls as Jin focused on Taehyung, hoping for any sign of improvement.

"Ye-Ri, will you and Min-Seo remove his shirt?" The tall ravenette asked.

Both women nodded and removed Taehyung's shirt as requested. Ji-Yoo watched, trying to control her tears as Taehyung lay lifeless. Taehyung's condition was more than just a medical emergency; it was a devastating blow to the entire family. As the youngest sibling, he had always been the heart and glue that held everyone together—his infectious laughter and unwavering kindness were a constant source of joy. The thought of losing him was unbearable, and the fear in Ji-Yoo's eyes mirrored the deep concern that gripped every family member present.

Jin removed the stethoscope from around his neck and placed it on Taehyung's chest. He listened to his heartbeat, lungs, and Taehyung's abdomen for any unusual sounds from the organs. Gently pressing Taehyung's stomach caused a soft groan to escape from the young man, indicating that Taehyung was still responsive to external stimuli, a positive sign. This suggested that despite his current condition, he retained some level of consciousness and his body was reacting to the physical examination. This small response provided a glimmer of hope that he could be stabilized and effectively treated.
