We came home after getting some supplies at Walmart. A poster board, markers, and decorations. We also stopped by Dicks Sporting Goods and I bought him a basketball. When we walked into the house Anthony came by us and Erika and I ran out of the door. We had the supplies in our hands. We ran to the back door and we looked inside Jake and Chance were trying to distract him. Tessa waved at us to come inside. We slowly opened the door and ran softly to the stairs. Just as Anthony was going to turn around, Jake pulled him into a hug.
"Bro, I missed you so much," he exaggerated. Chance got the cue and joined in on the hug blocking Anthony's sight of the stairs. Erika, Tessa, and I quickly ran up the stairs. We set the things on the floor and we got to work making the sign. When we were almost done Uncle Kade and Uncle Nathan came inside. All the girls screamed and I jumped over the poster. We thought it was Anthony.
"Don't worry, its just us." Uncle Nathan said.
"Thank God." Tessa said.
"So whats the plan? Jake told us to come upstairs and help you guys." Uncle Kade said.
"Where is Jake and Chance, by the way?" asked Erika.
"They went to play basketball with Anthony, Justin, and Chad," said Uncle Nathan.
I filled them in the plan and I instructed them things to do as well. We finished the poster and we got in the car. We reached the gym in about 5 minutes. We got out and walked to the door we could see only a little of what was going on inside.
"Okay, Uncle Kade and Uncle Nathan, I want you guys to go inside and pretend like your videoing for a vlog or something. Then when Anthony makes a shot, make a hand gesture. We will come in after that." I said, well kind of demanded.
"Wow, Mendes is bossy." Uncle Nathan teased.
"Sorry, im really nervous." I said.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine. You got this." Erika said hugging me.
"Okay, we will dab if he makes it." Uncle Kade says. "Lets go, Nathan." The walk inside and we wait by the door for the signal. It takes about 10 minutes until we see the signal. We open the door and we start cheering. I'm holding my sign up high and proud. The sign read. "NICE SHOT TONY! NOW CAN I TAKE A SHOT AT ASKING YOU TO PROM?" The boys start coming near us.
