I wake up with my ankle wrapped in a splint and a boy's head resting against my bed. I cough and he jolts his head up.
"Oh, hey, good morning, I didnt know you were up." Anthony says, "how are you feeling?"
"I'm still in pain, but better than yesterday," I reply.
"Oh do you want your pain meds?" he grabs the bottle on the table next to me and hands me one pill and a glass of water. I take the pill.
"Thanks. What are you doing here?" I ask.
"I just wanted to make sure you were doing okay so I stayed in here all night. If that's alright with you," he said, "Don't worry I didnt sleep on the bed, I just rested my head for a bit."
"Oh no its fine, thank you." I smile at him and he smiles back.
"So, the doctor said to just rest for a couple weeks," Anthony said.
"I went the hospital?" I was surprised, well to be honest, all I remember is kissing Anthony and waking up just now. Wait. We kissed. I smile.
"Why are you smiling?" Anthony smiles at me.
"Nothing," I say a little too quickly.
"Well I have a reason for you to smile," he pulls out his phone. "Look at this."
"YOU BOUGHT TICKETS TO MAX!" I yell.
"Yeah, the concerts in a few weeks, so you'll have time to get better." Anthony said.
"Why did you get these tickets?" I ask, "I mean I'm not ungrateful, but I just want to know."
"Remember when we went to the gym that one time and we jammed out to MAX?" he said, "We both had a fun time and I'm hoping we can have fun listening to the real deal live and in person."
"Yes! Sounds awesome!" I say, "Wait. Would this count as our first date?"
"Yeah, definitely." he said. He yawned. "Im pretty tired. Im going into my room. Will you be okay?"
"Isn't Tessa in there with Chance?" I ask
"Yeah, hopefully I dont wake them." he starts to get up but I grab his hand.
"Why dont you just stay here." I scoot over just so that he has enough room.
"You sure?" he asks.
"yeah its fine, I dont mind." I pat the bed. He lies right next to me and puts his arm around me. I glance right up at him and he looks at me. We both smile at each other. I snuggle a little more next to Anthony in and he starts playing with my hair. Some time after that I fall asleep.
