mesmerized, her blue eyes focus on the stars abovespelling out his name as she connected the dots
his letter placed beside the one she never gave him;
collecting dust, along with all their memories
the boy who broke her heart, healed it
with only a simple smile that lasted ten seconds
running back and forth, she's chases after him
only to be knocked down, her soul bruised
her gaze weak yet sparkling with wonder
as her fingertips graze the fabric he once touched
tears brimmed her eyes, knowing how it all ends
willingly she sacrifices so much for a simple hope;
a hope that maybe he'll be back
