I've had this chapter written for like 20 years, but I was on vacation (as in getting cancer at the beach), so I didn't know what was going on anymore. Anyway, please leave me your thoughts in the comments! :)

On the side, there's a slideshow of what the characters look like! There's also a cast list of the actors/actresses that play them. If you're on the app, then I think it's just a picture of Paige. I guess I'll rearrange the slideshow *siGH* to show all of the characters with every new chapter that I post.

The order of the slideshow goes like this: Paige Brinley, Cameron Bensen, Rachel Meyer, Jessica Yung, Kayden Boyce, and Sabrina Winston. (though I might change the person for Sabrina. It just doesn't feel right.)

                                       :۞:••:۞:••:۞:••:۞:••:۞:

Here’s what went through my mind in the span of half a second as I stood there, frozen:

        Oh, shit.

        Wow, um.

        This is awkward.

I can literally feel the hatred in the air.

        What do I even do?

        Do I like...

        run away?

That actually sounds like the wisest idea.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, was Paige Brinley: A Collection of Truly Brilliant Thoughts. Trying to not make it seem that I wasn’t at all surprised by Sabrina’s presence, I nonchalantly cleared my throat and shut the door behind me. With that amazing performance, I hesitantly made my way toward the farthest bed away from Sabrina and her companion. She followed me with narrowed eyes, while her friend seemed confused as to why the mood in the room changed from light hearted to ominous and heavy with bitterness.

“Is this your room?” she asked from behind me, her voice edging on irritation. I shut my eyes and sent a silent prayer before turning around to answer her question.

“Uh huh,” I said, turning back to my pile of luggage that was sitting at the corner of the room.

Sabrina released an interested ‘hmm’ of her lips. I heard her body rustle along the bed that she and her friend had claimed, which was the best one in the room. It was next to the large window that took up a nice amount of the opposite wall. It had a spectacular view of the city’s skyline. But me being deprived of the city’s view wasn’t what was really tragic in this situation. The true horror was the fact that I actually wanted to throw myself out of the window, and yet, I couldn’t even do that.

“Adri, this is Paige,” Sabrina introduced to her friend in a conversational voice. She clearly wasn’t through with me just yet. “She’s a dancer.” Her voice again had that touch of cruel disbelief as she spoke, but I chose to ignore it. I wasn’t going to give her the satisfaction.

“Oh, hi,” she said. That forced me to pull myself out of my nice and comfortable corner and face Adri, who was cautiously smiling at me from her place on the bed. Terrorizing only me was one thing, but the fact that she had to drag her perfectly innocent friend into it revealed a lot about Sabrina’s character.
