I Loved You Because of You

Julian opened Kaizo's door. With a small vase at hand, she went in. Just then Kaizo stirred awake. The sudden heaviness made him groan in pain. She walked towards him.

"Hey. You're awake." She smiled.

"Julian, how's Fang?"

"He's okay. All of us are fine. Don't worry."

He closed his eyes with a heavy sigh. He knew sitting up would be a painful move so he just laid over adjusting to the darkness.

Thank god the curtains were down.

"Are you feeling any better?"

''If you'd let me get out, then the answer is yes'' he said, nonchalantly.

"How'd you know I'm holding you down?"

"Julian what the fuck?"

"Just kidding. I'd never use my power on you. I'd rather be killed than see that death glare of yours." she spoke, feigning a shiver had run down, earning her a frown.

"Reminds me. I have a surprise for you. Would you like to see it?" 

"Hm..?" 

"Wait a bit. I'll call her up." saying so Julian left.

"Wait, call who?"

But Julian had excitedly exited his room.

While he was left alone, he gathered enough strength to lift himself up. His body felt heavier than he thought.

Sighing he lifted his legs over, resting his feet on the floor.

Cold. Julian didn’t leave him any shoes to walk on.

"Hey." a familiar voice reached him, surprising him to his core.

"Kiara?" 

Her eyes, were the same shade of blue he remembered. Her smile reached upto her eyes, just like before. Kaizo's heart ached when those eyes held tears that threatened to fall.

Kaira came up to him. All of the feelings that she had bottled up, she let them slide. All of her emotions rushed to her as tears brushed past her cheeks. This time she did not dare hold anything back.

With all those emotions within her, she stood close to the person whom she loved. He was sitting yet the height didn’t make much of a difference.

Slowly her arms reached upto him, snaking around his neck and the back of his head. Kaizo felt lost into her eyes.

Desire took control yet they couldn't hold themselves back. She closed the gap with a soft kiss.

Kaizo needed more. More of her. Tilting his head, he held her by the waist and pulled her into a deeper kiss.

A soft moan escaped her lips. It was a moment of desire and confession. That all these years of waiting was worth it.

Tongues seeking and savoring each other's mouth, he dominated her while she let him talk with his actions.

They broke the kiss needing the air into their systems. Hot breaths sent shivers down his spine as Kiara rested her head down his shoulder towards his neck.

Kaizo would be lying if he said he was okay. The shortness of breath doubled with his deplated energy, sent him a feeling of dizziness. He sighed softly.

There was a long pause. She was sitting beside him resting her head on his shoulder.

"Would you stop if I ask you of it?"

Kaizo's eyes fell on the top of her head. He knew where it was coming from.

"I just.. I'm not going to die, Kiara."

She didn’t say anything for a long while.

"In that case, I will be to one to be sacrificed."

"You’d actually be dead you know? At least I have a chance. I'm never gonna let you."

"Then how the hell do you think that I'll let you?"

She stood straight glaring at him, fuming with sobs and angry tears. Kaizo stared at her with a complicated gaze.

"...It took the news of my doing the Black Core Eye to finally see you."

Kiara's widened eyes stared at his in pure shock. Slowly she shook her head as fresh tears ran down her cheeks.

It hurt him to see her cry. But that was the truth. He couldn't find any other reason yet it never felt right.

"You always thought that way? Why Kaizo?"

"Because..  Because, you never tried to meet me all these years. You never showed up. Isn't that enough to think so?"

"I couldn’t. Not when I was the one breaking what was between us. Farah being sick was an excuse. I just couldn't bring myself to meet you... I'm sorry."

"Do you know, Kiara. I had thought a lot about us, of the reasons to leave you, of thousands of reasons to let you go. But I couldn't."

He paused, she looked stuck up between his words.

"Because of this stupid heart that fell for you." 

He turned to her, pulling her into a hug. It was tight but so gentle. Her small frame felt fragile, her body shaking, needing whatever comfort he could give her.

"Kaizo, I never resented you. It was just, I didn't want you to break because of me. After dad died, I was left with all of his responsibilities. And it was hard." she paused in between, allowing herself to take deep breaths, forcing herself to not cry.

"But when you left, I realized it was a bad mistake. You are the love of my life. So just know that I love you and will always keep loving you." Kiara spoke with her sweet smile he had liked. 

His watchful eyes rested on hers. Her heavy sighs, her stare as she looked at him with content. Kaizo didn’t need her confirmation. He pulled her in, closing the gap between them.

Her willingness excited him. He deepened their kiss as she moved her hands around the back of his head.

Oh how he could pray this never ended.

It felt too hot, they needed more of each other.

"Um wrong timing,"

Both of them jerked up to see Fang's cringed face directed at them. Although the girl next to her had a wicked grin.

With a phone at her hand.

Kiara hurriedly stood up and Kaizo turned away from her, both blushing several shades of red.

"It's not what you see it is. I was just helping him!" Kiara glared at Kaizo.

Women. 'Right. Blame it on me, fine.' he thought as he looked back at her in annoyance.

"You Saw nothing, Am. I. Clear?" implying with such cold tone that intended to kill them if they tried to protest.

Kaizo was satisfied with their fearful looks as they agreed.

"Now, Kaizo you don't have to scare them like that" Megan shook her head at him.

''These are brats and I could just-"

"One more word and I'd leave you right there." Kiara's threat completely hushed him.

If there were someone to stop him, it was definitely her.

And so she let him go.
