"You did an excellent work, my Queen" the King complimented her half-heartedly."You need not to hurt Fang. You could acquire those petals from somewhere else." her voice was shaky, she never stood upto this man in front of her.
"You know I can't get the rose unless I take them from someone else. I hadn't invested in them for nothing. Besides didn't you say they disobeyed us?"
She looked at him, hating the cruel man in front of her. This man could sacrifice his own sons for something that was impossible. Her thoughts traveled back to the time when this man had been so desperate to even kill for that rose, to save his sons.
Years ago, had her sister not fallen to the same fate, this wouldn't have happened.
She replied in a low whisper, "Yes,"
"Then don't bother. They aren't even your sons."
He used these words to make her suffer. That was the truth. Shortly after Fang was cured, her mother fell into the curse.
The royalty falling ill would raise chaos among the mass, therefore none of it was announced to public. With this, both of the siblings were kept in the dark.
Their father had no choice. She was taken into a cryo scopic slumber, her twin sister replacing her role.
Even if she wasn't their mother, she had grown to love them. As fate would have it, she was the one driving them to this extent.
'If I could tell them everything,' a silent voice rang on her head, pleading for it to come true.
The king walked towards his massive bookshelf rearranging the books. The first letter of each signifies his wife's name.
"A R A B E L L A"
The shelves shook before sliding to give a narrow path way. The Queen followed him down the path.
They walked down a short series of stairs. As they reached the ground, an immense light flooded the room. It revealed a huge orb at the centre.
A beautiful lady clad in a simple dress slept in a graceful slumber. Her purple hair moved along the waves of water, her features paler than a normal human's.
"Love, this nightmare will be over soon. We will be together again. I will get the petals that I took from you. I will, my love."
Yes. Her soul essence had formed the golden rose. She assured him saying it wouldn't affect her. Yet there she was.
Clash. The room shook slightly, lights flickering above them.
Kaizo was fighting right beside his biological mother, a thick partition of a wall segragating him from the ugly truth.
The queen could only stare at her sister praying her son would be free from this man's grasp.

Kaizo panted slightly before running back with his sword. He was still furious at him and used every ounce of his anger into his energy.
But Terence was absorbing every hit taking in his energy. That was his power, sucking up all the energy before the wielder collapses. Kaizo knew that, yet he couldn't bring himself to stop.
As the swords collided, Terence sucked on his energy, growing stronger. Kaizo stopped several feet away to catch his breath.
'This isn't good. I won't be able to keep up with him.'
"This feels great right? Thought you ought to be stronger though. But it doesn't matter. I'd kill you anyway." Terence grinned his wicked grin. Kaizo grunted.
