Three Days Later

"And so Kaizo starting from tomorrow would be transfering to Rippley Greenview University in the United States."

Their professor finished with Kaizo beside him smiling while the others cheered for him.

Except the vice class rep and his friends.

Kaizo was excused for the rest of the day and he spent the time of his first period talking to the other professors briefly.

That too ended soon and with much free to kill, he stopped by the library.

The librarian knew this red eyed boy. Smiling a heartwarming smile meant for only his special bookworm of students, he pointed sideways.

Towards his friends standing a bit far from them.

What..?

"Guys why are you all-"
"K-man we need you outside in a bit." Victor's cold tone was something he never heard of.

Kaizo had to follow them outside. 'Why are they even here?'

"At first you ghost us all weekend and when class starts you're going to fucking walk away. Dude why didn’t you tell us first?"

"Victor, language." Delirah tried to reprimand him, earning a look of annoyance.

"Kaizo I thought we were close enough to talk about your worries." Oli.

"I knew something was up with you for a while but I waited for you.." Azure couldn’t finish what she was about to say. She looked away from him.

"This girl here, she worried so much about you that she forgot eating few of her meals damnit!" Amenda yelled, surprising everyone including Azure.

"Amenda why would you-"

"Let me talk Delirah. Listen Kaizo, if you think we mean something to you then you better talk, or I might just snap."

Kaizo was stunned. No this is an understatement. Never in his life could he think 'friends' could define this.

He didn’t know what sort of emotion lingered on his face, that was the least of his concern.

"I'm sorry for worrying you, I thought it wouldn’t matter if I said anything."

"What the fuck dude? You're making me want to body slam against you." Victor spat sounding angrier than cold.

"No seriously, we were worried as hell. And I'm from the US, there's no shit like Rippley whatever. Tell us the truth Kaizo."

Oli's new statement shunned the rest.

Suddenly, Azure started walking towards him. Stopping just short of a meter, she looked up at him. Sun rays tilted towards the east stung her eyes due to the height difference of over one feet. Kaizo stood a bit closer to stand as her shade.

"K-Kaizo, whatever's worrying you, I'm sure it’s something really bad. But I don’t want you to take this on your own. No one can survive alone. So just... Please tell me what's wrong. I need you to trust me." Azure's eyes held his with such tenderness, it almost made his facade break.

Her eyes held a reddish tint on the sides. Under these sun rays, it was clear to him, that she was crying.

Now Victor stood slightly behind her, looking directly at Kaizo, "I told you about things about me that I swore to never tell a soul. Like how I mean absolutely nothing to my parents."

This statement was something only Kaizo knew. And Oli had figured on his own. The girls however, looked surprised.

"And I traveled to Rintis Island when I lost my sister because my parents felt they needed a model rather than a daughter." Oli spoke slowly, shakily.
