I am not completely convinced by Peace's words, but I can't really question the words of a unicorn.
People don't seem as joyous or as happy as I expected. Don't they know they were liberated from the Darkness that could have devoured them?
Perhaps in that lies the problem, they don't know, and they are now terrified.
Technology, which many of them saw as their savior, is down and there are so many strange creatures walking about. They have no way of defending themselves and after such a long time spent in darkness, they can't really understand the concept of light. They can't see that the magical creatures are here to help, that they mean them no harm.
After Peace leaves us to go and help people and magicals I worriedly ask Flyjoy: "What happens now? What is the plan? Should humans go to Solactia or should magicals come to Earth? Or should the two worlds magically blend together?"
For the first time since I met him, Flyjoy seems confused.
"Honestly, we don't know. We haven't thought that far ahead," he answers absentmindedly as his eyes keep following the flight of a small phoenix that is going through the portal as we speak.
"I guess the first step would be to help humans understand what is happening and for magicals and humans to reconnect. After that is done, everything will be easier," he says.
I am not convinced that what he said is true, but I think it will be good to go about the problem step by step. That is why I decide to accept his answer, for the time being.
We can both see that the phoenix whose crossing over Flyjoy had observed earlier has a lot of problems adjusting to the new planet so Flyjoy and I decide to help out. I am fascinated by the phoenix, and I would have done anything to get closer.
Even confused as it is it looks so powerful and magnificent. It has huge wings which have two different shades of color. Closer to the body the wings are fire red, but in the parts that spread out in a huge fan, they are bright orange.
Its tail is impossible to comprehend or describe, it is one of the most magnificent things I have ever seen. It reminds me of a peacock's tail. The phoenix's feathers are so gentle and graceful but also incredibly powerful.
I don't know how to approach such a magnificent creature, but luckily Flyjoy is not awestruck since he has seen so many of them and other magical creatures. For him, it's like just another ordinary day.We tell the Phoenix the basics about the planet and that he is supposed to try to find his other half, the human who is a missing link in his life.
He understands us, but he seems hesitant to leave since he is shocked by Earth, filled with panicking people and strange gray structures that look like torture chambers to him.
Finally, Flyjoy and I decide to go with the phoenix and if we are otherwise needed Peace could always get in touch with Flyjoy. After all, he is one of the most powerful magicals.
I am not exactly sure what we are supposed to do, so I just guide them through the city, avoiding the streets which have terrified people in them because when people are scared, they are extremely dangerous.
I don't want the phoenix's first experience with humans to be a bad one. I stick to the side streets and often check with the phoenix to see if he can feel anything unusual.
Finally, the phoenix seems to sense something and it takes off in a hurry with us following behind as quickly as we can.
