We are all very shocked by his statement and to be honest incredulous.
None of us are powerful magicians, not even Flyjoy, as an elf, is that powerful. It is the first time since I met Peace that I doubt him.
I don't think he would lie to us, I think he has made a mistake. Even unicorns make mistakes, don't they?
But what if he isn't mistaken, what if one of us is really Artim?
I know it's not me, but I am pretty sure that it's not either of my friends. I would know, wouldn't I?
One thought leads to another and I start wondering how well we really know anyone. Each one of us could be hiding a secret, and we would never know.
Do you ever know your friends as well as you think you do?
If someone had asked me that question before this night, I would have said that I knew all my friends very well, but now I am not so sure.
I look at Sam and Luminous and wonder what is hiding under their serious exterior and all that leadership ability.
Looking at Dan and Gary I think that it isn't them since the magicians would be much more serious and rigid, but then again what do I know about magicians?
Maybe magicians are a fun-loving bunch, enjoying a laugh and making jokes.
The others have a difficult time digesting the news as well.
Even Dan and Gary seem more serious than I have ever seen them before. They are looking around in confusion as if expecting someone else to be standing behind us, an uninvited guest. It seems as if they also think it impossible that one of us is Artim, since we have spent a lot of time with each other going on missions and helping out when help was needed.
They probably think we all know each other too well to be able to hide such a secret.
I can see from the extended glances at Flyjoy, Luminous and Peace that they think it is one of them.
Thinking about it, that would make sense, What I know for sure, because of the telepathic connection, is that it isn't Flyjoy, but the others...
I guess it could be either Peace or Luminous, it wouldn't be so surprising, but my gut is telling me that I am wrong.
Dan and Gary's obvious preference for one of them manages to sway me for a moment, but no, I don't actually think it is either one of them.
Shifting my gaze to Sam and Luminous I can see that they are also confused.
How can all of us be confused?
From the strange looks, they give me and Flyjoy, it is obvious they think it is one of us, which again would be a rational option, but I am sure they are wrong.
It makes sense that Sam would focus on us because I am pretty sure that it didn't even cross her mind that her husband could be Artim, the Deliverer because she knew him much longer than any of us.
How could she be so sure, though?
What about all those nights when he and Gary sneaked out?
How did she know for sure that they were chasing musical performances and not going about some magical errands that would ensure our future happiness?
Maybe, the reason for her confidence in knowing everything about her husband is the fact that marriage is all about trust. To have faith that your spouse will always tell you the truth and nothing but the truth.
Finally, after staring at all the surrounding people I have to admit that I have no idea who it is.
On the one hand, I think it could be any one of them, on the other hand, I think it could be none of them.
"So who is it?" I ask. "Tell us!"
"It's the time my friend! Raise and show everyone who you truly are!" Peace exclaims.
Pete starts flying up from the ground as he says this.
"There are no fairies, no fairy dust! How is he flying!?" we exclaim.
"It was never the fairy dust." Peace responds.
"It was always the power inside Pete that made him float around. He was born with dormant powers and those powers were awoken once our two worlds united.
Ever since then any power display you have seen around him, was his own and not fairy power. The fairies were just knowingly drawn to that power, it was some kind of ancient sense in their very nature telling them to follow Pete or Artim as he is otherwise known in my world."
After he says that I see something I have never seen before, furious Sam.
"That is my child you are talking about! That is my little Pete and not some ancient magician living inside my child!" she screams.
"He is just a baby! My baby! And no magic in the world will change that! " She continues in a fit of rage.
To calm her down Peace has to approach her and let his gold aura embrace her.
"It is nothing like that", he explains calmly.
"He is your child, of course, he is, but he is also much more than that. He is also, as you humans would say, the reincarnation of Artim, which means he is the same child you have always known, the same soul if you will.
The only difference is that the soul is the same soul as our Artim's. He possesses more power than any of us can dream of and the wisdom of how to use it which many of us lack.
He is of our world and yours at the same time and that is truly unique.
Remember the last part of the prophecy.
'Two believers that make one shall bring the Deliverer to us to reunite us and free us from the pain. The new life of joy and peace shall begin when the full circle of life after life shall be done.'
Two believers Sam and Dan made one believer, Pete, and they brought him back to us since he represents the circle of life after life or as you call it reincarnation." Peace says.
We are all speechless, and we are just standing there trying to process this new and shocking information.
