Rise of the Monsters

New friend

     Jake seemed to be infatuated by the scent of the new creature, running after the monster that

made him feel this way. Cera followed close behind him just in case there was a hunter, even

though they could probably beat her. Jake ran into an area that was filled with new types of

plants, he sniffed around "Cera, I think I found the creature." he said as he looked back at her.

Cera looks at what he was looking at and her eyes widened "A...poison cup?" he asked, she

almost fell over laughing "A poison cup?! It's the monster that was bothering your 'amazing'

nose?!" she cackled. Jake kicked her softly "Shut up, that's not what I was smelling..." he

followed his nose a bit more, he heard soft mumbling and hid behind a corner. "Stupid

Rathian...she's always trying to kill me or take my food..." the monster said, Jake looked past the

corner and his eyes widened a bit. It was. Pukei-Pukei! He's only ever heard of them before.

Jake's tail wags softly and he walks up to the new creature "Woah! You're a Pukei-Pukei, I've

only ever heard of them before!" The Pukei-Pukei looks up at Jake and puffs up it's feathers to

make it seen bigger "D-don't you dare hurt me!" it said, Jake chuckles softly and shakes his head

"I didn't really intend on hurting you, I just wanted to see you." The Pukei-Pukei lays it's feathers

down but only a bit "I still don't trust you..." it's tail puffed up with poison, just in case Jake tried

anything funny. Cera walks over to the Pukei-Pukei "Jake thought that you were a poison cup."

she laughed and the Pukei-Pukei's scales on his face turned red from embarrassment, Cera lays

down on her stomach "So, you got a name or what?" she asked. The Pukei-Pukei looks down

and hides it's face "It's Riley...I know it's sounds feminine but it's my name." he said defensively.

Cera shakes her head "Nah, your name sounds fine, say would you like to go for some aptonoth

sometime? You look cu-" Jake smacked her on top of the head "We just met him Cera, don't try

and do that to him this early." Jake glared down at her. Cera sighed "Fine, would you like to hang

out with us?" she asked, RIley thought this over for a minute "Uh...sure I suppose..." he looks up

at the two. Cera smiled and stood up "Great!" she exclaimed. The three then ate an aptonoth

together and talked for a while. Jake curled up on the ground and fell asleep, today was a great

day for him.
