Two princesses, and a boy in a Poseidon costume, arrive at our door.
The girls hold out pillow cases. "Trick or treat," they sing.
Then the boy removes his sea-god mask, revealing his blue-skinned, gill-flared face.
I do a double-take before dropping Butterfingers into their pillow-cases and his sand-castle-yellow bucket.
Then they're off, the girls walking, and the boy flapping behind on his merman fin.
"The designer babies these days are something else," I mutter.
