"Explain the mean value therom" Katniss smirked while reading my flashcards.
"Uh, it is the instantaneous rate of change will equal the mean rate of change somewhere-"
"Damn girl, you sound like a dictionary!" Katniss interrupted me, smiling. "I don't understand how you're struggling with this class."
Yeah, I am struggling with my Calculus class, so what? The world does not revolve around me.
I knew I should've used this time to study for this Calculus exam instead of watching Game of Thrones with Cato.
I asked Katniss to help me go over my calculus flashcards during lunch. I had an exam in the next hour. I almost failed the last exam because my crazy calculus teacher asked for definitions.
I thought you had to at least understand the math part, not memorize the dictionary definition of a horizontal asymptote.
"Katniss, you're not making me feel good about my C in there" I muttered. I am about to rip my flashcards out of her hand.
"Big deal it is only a C and it's only the beginning of the year. You can always bring it up and, well now you know that there are definitions on the exam! I bet you'll do better this time" Katniss said emphatically, while flipping to the next flashcard.
"Hey guys!" Thresh said while he sat down next to me. Finch and Peeta were following behind him.
"What are you guys doing?" Finch said while sitting down across from me.
"Planning my funeral" I muttered while looking down on my tray that hadn't been touched.
Katniss laughed. "We are going over her calculus flash cards! Everyone, tell her that she is going to pass her exam this time!"
They all stayed silence, I heard someone muttered a good luck.
"Guys" Katniss said annoyingly, trying to make me feel better.
"I will keep you in my prayers" Thresh said, while taking one my hands.
"I think we should make a prayer circle" Peeta chocked on his lasagna, trying not to laugh.
Wow guys, thanks guys.
"I can tell that you've studying a lot, Clove! I think you will do better this time!" Finch said, while giving me a sad smile.
"Seriously" Katniss said with an irritating tone in her voice.
"Hey, I am just being realistic!" Thresh threw his hands up in the air. "Clove is a smart girl, but that class was very difficult for me last year."
"So, you're claiming that you're smarter than Clove!" Katniss challenged Thresh.
"No, that is not what I said. I know that the course is challenging so that is why I said-"
"Yes, you did!"
While they were fighting, I noticed Cato sitting next to Glimmer on her popularity table. There were a couple of other pretty girls along with a couple of guys on the football team. They were laughing at something really funny what it seems like.
I think Peeta noticed that I was staring at his direction.
"I think they are a thing" he said, with no emotions, finishing up his lasagna.
"Excuse me?" I said, trying to act dumbfounded. I didn't tell him that I liked Cato!
"Glimmer and Cato. I think they are going out" Peeta said.
