Chapter 10

The next morning came too soon, I woke up in Nick's arms on my bed. We

had goofed around late into the night last night. Drinking energy

drinks we got from the corner store down the street and listening to

music. Sometime in the middle of it we must have finally fallen

asleep. When I woke I didn't want to move, I was curled up against him

with my head in the curve of his shoulder and his arm was my pillow,

his other arm was holding me close to him. I sighed and tried to go

back to sleep but when I felt his arms tighten around me then release

some I knew he was awake too. I tilted my head up to look at him, our

faces really close.

"Morning." He said with a sleepy smile. He blinked his eyes slowly and

stretched. I smiled back.

"Morning to you too."

"Mmm - what time is it?" He asked looking around for a clock. I sat up

in his arms and glanced around for my phone which was on the nght

stand next to him getting a last charge before I flew today. I leaned

over him and grabbed it then returned to my place. I pressed the

button on the front and read the time, 10:15.

"Oh god! We have to get going! It's 10:15! We should have left by

now!" I leaped out of his arms and off the bed. I grabbed the clothes

I'd picked out last night for today and began to tug off the pj shorts

when I realized Nick was still there.

"Go get dressed!" I said frantically. He hopped off the bed and kissed

my head when he passed and left closing the door after him. I dressed

quickly as I could then did a quick one over of the room to find

anything I might have missed. I shoved my phone in my pocket and

grabbed my tooth brush and hurried to the bathroom and brushed my

teeth as quickly as I could. Nick came in as I was leaving to brush

his teeth fully dressed. I grabbed my purse and swung it over my

shoulder as Nick came in to get my bag and carry it downstairs for me.

I rushed around the house to hug everyone goodbye, tearing up as I

hugged each one. Nick had taken my bag out to the Mustang. I was

followed out the door by the whole family so they could wave goodbye

when we left. Nick opened my door for me and I ducked inside and began

to wave as Nick got in and started the car. We pulled away and Nick

was soon speeding down the highway headed towards LAX.

We got there in what I believed was a record time and got a parking

space close to the entrance of the parking garage. We got to the

ticket counter and checked in my ticket - I glanced at security and

found there was just a couple of people in line. Nick walked with me
