I do not own Star Wars the Clone Wars
Chapter 1
Anakin pov
I walked slowly, staying alert, aware of my surroundings. The soft ground crumpled under my feet as I made my way through the thick tree line. R7 clattered along beside me, surely alerting anyone of my position. Although he wasn't as good as R2, his company would do, especially on such a vital mission. I had to rescue Obiwan.
I continued along my path, trying to reach out with the force to locate any droid battalions. Although I couldn't place it, I could feel a strong presence on this planet. A force stronger than one of an average Jedi. I stopped momentarily. It reminded me of the feeling I had when on Mortis with Obwan and Ahsoka. Ahsoka. It stung to remember my snippy little side kick, my Padawan, my friend. I felt lonely without her by my side on missions and I sighed at her memory.
I resumed my walk, this time, trying to connect with the strong force I felt. It was so pure, so light. It's power radiated through the planet and it filled me with a sence of hope. I hoped Obwan could feel it too.
But this feeling of peace was short lived.
In my daze, I had managed to miss the clear laser sensor and had sprung a trap. Great. I ignited my lightsaber, ready. But what appeared in front of me was worse than I could have imagined. Four elite magma droids, of new design, holding electro staffs, a droid squadron of around 20 and a tank. Crap.
I engaged the droids. I began with the basic squad, cutting them down one by one. It was easy work, but the other droids changed formation so that I was surrounded. The began to fire at me from all directions. I frantically worked my lightsaber, spinning it to deflect bolts into other droids.
As I did so, I realised the trap. The tank had turned to me, and fired directly into my position. I leapt into the air, dodging the blast. Pieces of shrapnel imbedded in my leg and I winced at the pain. I needed help.
I reached out with the force, hoping for the beacon of hope to fuel me. I could sense it. It felt like it was above me, somewhere in the tree line... watching me? I stood, ready for the next attack. But I was too slow. One of the elite droids slammed their staff onto my back, sending shock pulses throughout my body. It was agony. I yelled out, dropping my lightsaber. I summered my strength and leapt out of the way, dodging the droids next blow. I landed a few meters away, and summoned my lightsaber to me with the force. It vibrated along the floor, before bolting into the tree line. I was confused, and surely screwed.
The droids began their next attack, surrounding me completely. This was going to hurt. But then I felt it. The strong, pure force. It lifted the droid in front of me and crushed it. I heard the unmistakable ignition of a lightsaber, and saw a cloaked figure jump from the tree line and land in front of me in a defensive stance. The force radiated off of them in waves of clarity and purity. I was in awe. The figure attacked. It used my lightsaber to dismantle one droid after another with ease, whirling the lightsaber at increasing speed and with such power. But the attacks were clever, the person was clearly an expert, perhaps even above the standard of the Jedi. They struck down the droids with a back hand grip, turning them to spare parts. Soon enough, the squad was in pieces. The figure turned to the elite droids and ran forward, sliding under ones legs and brining the lightsaber through it to cut it in half. The figure rose calmly, adjusting their cloak, before sticking out an arm and imp-ailing the second droid without even looking.
In my amazement, I hadn't noticed the tank fire at me, and I would have surely been blown sky high if it wasn't for the pure force. It built a wall in front of me, and I saw the figure strain their arms out in front of them. Wait. They were the force. They had stopped a missile from a tank with the force. They had saved me. They were.... Light.
The tank shuddered, rising from the ground as the figure lifted it. It was ray shielded, I could see the faint ripple the shield left behind. That wasn't enough to stop the figure. It rose a hand flat, before clenching it into a fist. The tank crumbled in on itself and fell in a metallic heap. The figure dropped briefly to the floor, panting. I had never seen such power with the force. I began to walk to help, when they put out and hand and stood by themselves. They walked over to me, and handed me the lightsaber, before turning to leave.
"Wait" I called out " who are you?"
The figure stopped, I could sense their unease. Perhaps they didn't want to be known. But with a person this powerful on the side of the Jedi, the war would surely be won. I felt the figures debate, I saw them look on to see the two paths ahead of them. They sighed before turning to me.
The figure removed its hood and stood proud and strong. So pure.
" Don't you remember me, skyguy?" The figure smirked..... Ahsoka.
