Time to go home

Chapter 3

Anakin POV

I let Ahsoka lead the way. She clearly knew this planet better then I did, and her advanced force abilities made her even better at sensing the way. We jumped from tree to tree, making our way towards the speratist base. By keeping to the trees, we avoided all of the traps. We also travelled out for the way of droid patrols that Ahsoka had made a mental schedule of. I had to hand it to her, she was smart, tactical, a true jedi. I followed close behind her, and when she stopped on the branch of a tall tree I almost bashed into her.

"A little warning next time at snips?" I muttered. The name I used to call her brought back so many happy memories of our past.

"Just keeping you on your toes Skyguy." The nickname rolled off her tongue naturally, and I smiled to myself at the memory of our first battle together.

We sat on the branch, watching a droid patrol pass the front of the station. On the outer wall, eight droids stood guard, blasters in hand. The building itself was tall and thin. Ahsoka's eyes narrowed.

"A droid would be helpful right about now." She said

"Droid? R7! Crap!"

"Oh don't you think I noticed that you had brought my old droid with you, what, R2 too valuable?" She smirked, cocking an eyebrow.

"Well, not exactly, but yeah, mostly" I shrugged

"Sorry to say anakin but the droid is scarps, the tank took him out."

"So you see, it was a good thing I didn't bring R2."

"Indeed. Come on, I have a plan"

I followed Ahsoka through the tree line, along the west side of the fortress. We came to a landing platform, clearly for supplies. Six droids stood guard. Ahsoka raised a hand and scrunched it into a fist. The droids collapsed in heaps of metal. She jumped down from the tree, me following close by. We ran and into a cargo ship. Ahsoka went straight to he bridge and made the ship take off without closing the exit ramp. I was so confused, but followed her lead. How the tables had turned. The ship turned, and Ahsoka turned to me. She nodded at me and I nodded back. A silent 'are you ready?'. Ahsoka directed the ship to go wide on the station, before doing something I didn't expect.

"Let's confuse those clankers" she smirked

We ran to the ramp of the ship, and Ahsoka used the force to activate the hyperdrive on the ship... pointing directly to the tower. We jumped from the ship into the trees, and watched it crash into the station, blowing a hole through the side, the station collapsed. I turned to Ahsoka, in shock.

"Obi-wan was in there!" I screamed above the sounds of burning.

Ahsoka simply shook her head and pointed to a pile of leaves on the ground. I looked at her confused. She jumped down from the tree and used the force to move away the leaves, revealing a trap door.

"Clankers got clever. They built the actual base underground. But we needed the sepretisits to move their squads to the main building to get them out of the way. All of their supplies were in there. They are going to try and recover them. That gives us around 15 minutes before somebody realises it was a cargo ship driven into it on purpose. So, let's go."

I followed Ahsoka down the tap door. We came into a tunnel that lead to a crossing. Ahsoka nodded to the left and walked confidently. I chased after her. When we reached the next turn, she held her arm out, stopping me. She glanced around the corner before signalling for me to lead the way... straight into a squadron of droids. I tuned, and Ahsoka wasn't there. I ignited my lightsaber as attacked the droids. There were just too many. Had Ahsoka lead me into a trap? I continued to fight, before a hatch shut, crushing the remaining droids. A vent above my head popped off and clattered to the floor. Ahsoka hopped down from it a brushed dust from her shoulder.

"Are you crazy!" I began

" I needed a distraction, and you can't let me have all the fun Skyguy. Plus, I thought you could use the practice." She smirked, before laughing at my bewildered expression

"Okay, throw me in front of the bus there snips. What was the distraction for?"

Ahsoka simply held out a dashboard section. It was smoking slightly but the connections had been rewired. I gave a confused look.

"I took it from the command panel in the other room, the droids were too busy running to help their squad to notice me slip by and take out the connector core. From this, we can control all of the doers in the base." She said

Wow. I was impressed. She really did have a plan. We exchanged a determined glance before setting off down a path towards the prison block. Ahsoka opened all of the doors along the way and crushed any stray droids with the force. We soon reached the holding cells. Without a second thought, Ahsoka opened the door to the left, and gestured for me to go ahead of her. I entered the cell, and saw Obi-wan chained to the back wall. He looked worn, but fine. He looked up at me, and smirked when he saw me.

"Took you long enough." He jeered

"Well I know how much you love sepretist company." I smirked back, before cutting his restraints with my lightsaber

"I thought you weren't going to be able to find me. The station is designed to be a confusing trap. How did you get here?"

"I had a little help" I smirked

"Was it the force? I felt it too. It's so strong on this planet. So good and pure. It gave me strength. It got stronger and stronger and right now it almost as though it's right out here" he said as he exited the cell ahead of me

I followed him out, only to see him frozen, staring at Ahsoka in awe.

"Jedi master Kenobi." Ahsoka said bowing her head

"Ahsoka? U... you are the pure force?" He questioned " its been a while" he smiled before shaking Ahsokas hand.

Ahsoka smiled a genuine smile of happiness, and waves of joy rolled off of her.

" it's good to see you again Obi-wan" she smiled

"Same to you Ahsoka, you will have to explain this situation to me later. But right now, let's get out of here"

We all nodded and followed Ahsoka from the station. She lead us out quickly opening more doors along the way and crushing more droids. When we got back the the surface, Ahsoka lead us back into the tree line.

"You gotta love how sepretists like to cover their tracks." She joked, before activating the self district on the station.

We followed Ahsoka back to her home, where we told Obi-wan everything about Ahsoka's life and her power and decision. After we had finished, Ahsoka dug around a little in the chest, before removing something wrapped in a cloth.

" I took it form a couple droids earlier this week. It felt wrong using it meself." She smiled. Obi-wan opened the cloth up, revealing a lightsaber and comlink.

Obi-wan smiled and nodded to Ahsoka in gratitude before activating the homing beacon an the comlink. It was time for Ahsoka to go back to the Jedi temple. Time for her to go home.
