Chapter 20

Jess Pov

I wake up in my bed. I turn my head to see Derek sound asleep. My phone was going off like crazy. i turn my head and my body to grab my phone. I lay back down, sighing, looking through my phone messages."Jenny: Hey we need to meet up, its important" I sigh again putting my phone back down,rubbing my eyes with the palms of my hands."Who was that" I jump turning my head peeking through my fingers."Jenny, she needs to meet me" Derek eyes narrow."No" He says coldly. I sit up to as i look at him."I HAVE to, I need to know the Truth" He looks at me."About what" He says. I sigh deeply."About my Aunts death" He looks at me confused."Didn't she die of her illness." I turn my head to the wall as tears slide down my cheek."No" I say in between tears.
 
Derek pulls me into his arms, pulling me on his lap."I'm scared, to know the truth Derek" He wraps his arms around my waist as i melt into the warmness he was giving off. He leans into my head, he kisses the top of my head. I hold in as many tears as i could."Its going to be okay. I will go with you, Your not leaving me again" I look up into his eyes."Okay" I get off his lap walking to the bathroom. I look at myself in the mirror."I look a mess" Derek walks in and wraps his arms around me, looking at me in the mirror."Your beautiful no matter how you look" He smiles kissing my neck. I look down to the drain of the sink."Derek let me get a shower" He looks at me and smiles."Okay, i will go wake the kids" I look at him through the mirror.

"Derek, Don't tell Ciara about what I'm about to tell you" Derek raises his eyebrow."What" I turn myself around in his arms, I sigh looking up into his eyes again."Derek, my aunt was murdered, She was poisoned" Derek pulls me into his arms."We will find who ever did this" I finally let the tears go."Derek, please don't tell Ciara, and Emily." He pushes me away so he could look me into the face."I wont" He kisses me."Isaac and Erica can watch the kids." I nod, Derek leaves the bathrooms as i strip of my pajamas, getting a shower, thinking about what is about to happen.

After a hour later, i heard a knock on the door. I hid behind the certain."Yes" I say as i heard a tiny voice."Mommy" I look to the door to see Emily poke her head in."Hi baby" She had tears rolling down her face. I quickly turn off the water, grabbing my towel wrapping it around my body. Getting out of the tub. "Whats wrong Emily" She runs to me, as i pick her up."Are you leaving" My eyes narrow."Damn it Derek" I sigh rubbing her back."Yes but it's only for a few days, I promise" She cries into my shoulder, I take her into my room, placing her on my bed.. I crotch down, to her level."I promise to come back in one piece."
 
I could see a tiny smile creep on her face. I smile kissing her head."Mommy friend needs to talk face to face with her, its very important. Emily starts to hiccup. I rub her back in circles."I'm not leaving you" She wraps her arms around my neck, i pick her up again rocking her in my arms. I slightly begin to cry but i push it away. I set her down as she  calms down.'Emily go daddy, he can get his shower now and we need to hit the road. She nods running out. I grab a outfit putting it on. I grab two book bags, taking them and shoving some of my clothes and Derek's clothes. I walk over to the big mirror which was in the corner of my room. As i was putting my makeup on, i see movement by my door. I look behind me to see Ciara. I smile at her."Whats up Ciara" She crosses her arms."Where are you going" I sigh turning back to mirror."Ciara,Derek and I have to do something important."
 
I look at her trough my mirror. I hear her sigh."Is this about me" I quickly turn around and walk to her."No, why would you think that" She looks up at me and shrugs."Because I can sense something bad is going to happen to you" I smile crouching down and hugging her."Nothing is going to happen, i promise" I hug her tightly. She nods walking out the door. I walk back to my mirror, to fix my hair, I place all my hair but my bangs into a beanie.(). I smile at myself as i turn around to see Derek, getting out of the shower. I slap him on his ass while i walk out of the door. 

I walk down the stairs into the living room."So are we going" I look behind me to see Emily."Daddy and I are only going, Erica and Isaac, and Boyd will watch you and ciara" She nods running up the stairs to tell Ciara, rubbing my head. I grab my book bag to see Derek come down wearing this.(). I smile as i grab my keys."Isaac we are leaving." I yell up to him."Okay" he yells back. Emily and Ciara come down hugging us."We will be back as soon as we can." Emily and Ciara nod returning to their rooms. I sigh walking to the car as we speed off.
