"On a scale of one to ten how much do you love me" he whispered, busy playing with his fingers she hummed at his questions. "Hmmm I'll say one" she laughed, "For you, numbers aren't enough" she almost choked at his words, wanting to throw something at him, she threw herself over instead.
Hovering on top, he groaned at her impact. Her knees sunk on both sides of his body and her head tilted to him, "I was thinking, when were going to ask me to the school dance?" she murmured as her fingers stroked down to his chest to abdomen.
"Park Chaeyoung" the exasperation clears his voice,
"Would you take the pleasure of being my date to the dance" he said in a odd accent which had her bursting into laughter, "Fine" she eye rolled.
His hand catches her dainty hand, "Come here" he pulled her down to his puckered lips.
Chaeyoung felt lost when she wasn't with him, he was like her own personal light that guided her through many things. Without him, she wouldn't be full. He was literally her other half, not romantic wise but also friendship wise. She didn't realise that they were the talk of the school until one of her friends broke it to her.
"Chaeyoung what are you going to wear?" Jennie asked.
"I dunno" she shrugged, "a dress maybe" she added.
Jennie shook her head, "No shit rosiekens you need to get your things sorted before the night" she said.
"If I were you, I'd go naked" Jisoo snorted.
"And if I were you, I wouldn't go at all" Lisa joked.
Chaeyoung laughed, after class she stood at her locker examining through her things. She closed her locking and her back rested against the mental lockers. Tilting her head to the crowd of students, her eyes spotted the centered figures and one of them were him.
Those golden rims that she loved so much darted towards her direction, as if she was the only one in the room. A smirk crossed his lips and she heard him chuckle from where he stood. Making his way to him, he leaned on the wall creating an intimate space between them.
"Hey babygirl" his hot breath hit her face, she hummed at his greeting. "What do you want?" she furrowed her eyebrows, secretly enjoying the up-close view.
"Nothing, really" he replied, "But I wouldn't mind you" he flirted.
A husky laugh slipped, her fingers twirled with her brown locks as she playfully rolled her eyes.
"You already have me tho" she broke out into a breathless laugh after seeing his stuck face. A finger circled around his thin yet attractive lips, he smiled. "Your right" he replied before softly planting a kiss on her forehead.
"I want to go out with you after school" he murmurs as he holds her face. "Why is everything okay?" she asked, "I just haven't spend time with you in so long and I miss you" he explained. "Fine, it's a date" she said before her lips could finally devour his.
Choosing a reserved place, the both drove near a cliff that viewed over the white sandy shores and where golden hour was at best. The both engaged into random conversation and soon leaped into cliche stories about their dreams, they shared the same mind state. Chaeyoung had many things in common with him, they both struggled with emotions but on different scales. She avoided feelings, he struggled dealing with it. No one could understand him better than she could, it ran both ways.
"Jeongguk, it's your birthday tomorrow.." she smiled widely. "You don't have to get me anything—" he rejected. "No Jeongguk!" she groaned at his impatiences. "It isn't that but of course I'm going to buy you something!" she lightly hit his arm.
"It's..." she paused, "Something else" she added.
"Okay then what is it?" his eyebrows wired.
Chaeyoung swallowed, she had been wanting to give him this letter since she landed back home. She didn't know how too but this was the perfect time. Reaching in her pocket for that letter, she gave it a hard look before saying any thing else.
"I've been waiting to give you this for quite some time now..." she said softly.
"I think you're ready, so Jeongguk—" her beautiful eyes fluttered up at him.
"I love you and happy birthday"
He smiles at her words, hearing those three words, three syllables and eight letters made him more happier than ever. She watches him analyzes the envelope that had been hidden for some time, than she watches him take his time to open it. His warm eyes change into a sad glint, and she notices that his body language has changed. She memorizes the words written so carefully on that paper, the pain and love that he needed to hear.
A tear slips, his lips tremble, those golden rims she loves so much becomes bloodshot and her heart almost falls out of her chest. "Chaeyoung.." he utters out weakly, she inhales deeply controlling her emotions but suffers under his reaction. She knew deep down, he was still that little boy that lost his mom.
"T-thank you.." he tries to speak however more tears continue to fall and soon she found herself holding him. Accepting her embrace, he holds onto her as if she's leaving. Chaeyoung doesn't understand why she's crying too, as she comforts him she finds herself sobbing at his lost. She knew how much that meant to him the moment he read it. It hurt to know how deeply affected he was from her death.
She wipes his tears away, and her eyes bore into his. Moments like these were found rare and were only ever in fairy tales. She didn't wish for more when it came to him. He was enough for her and her heart was fully devoted to him no matter what.
His lips found their way to hers, she found his kisses tender and loving. In between their kisses, he halts and a smile is founded on his face.
"I love you too" he mumbles.
Returning back to his chambers where she found herself positioned on top of him, she promised herself that she wouldn't go any further. "Nothing going to happen" she laughs seeing his lustful eyes shoot at her.
"It's fine.." he breathes out.
"You can't expect sex every time you know" she arched her eyebrows.
"Yeah I know" failing to hide his smirk, she grins and leans down to kiss him. When their lips touch it's just like those others times—magical. It started off tender and loving but the moment her fingers intertwined with his, where she pinned it down, it changes its course. She kissed him roughly, more willingly. Straddling him, a moan escapes when his length growled. As her mouth moves naturally against his, she stuck was stuck with what to do next.
"Chaeyoung" he pulled away from their kiss.
"I have to confess something to you".
