It's been almost eight years since and things obviously have changed. Besides her age, her as a person has changed. Slowly maturing up to what she feared the most it was time to pave back to her Motherland even if it meant facing a certain past or more likely him.
She left him and the guilt eats her up everytime she thinks of him. Vulnerable in times of sunsets, where it often set a reminder of when they were little kids on the roof watching the pretty orange skies. She'd often isolate herself with these sort of thoughts but eventually as she settled in her new home, she did what he feared the most.
Forget.
Until she reached sixteen her mother wanted her to go return back to South Korea. Her mother didn't want to return just yet because of the realisation of never hearing her best friend voice again was still very brand new. However she'd come to her senses that Chaeyoung needed to go back.
"I'll see you soon, don't worry okay Chaeng" her mother kissed her forehead.
She knew it was a lie when her mother said that but she didn't blame her. Waving off her mother and flying a plane back to home sweet home, it was time.
Everything about the surrounding had change, the people too. Roaming through the busy crowds, she gasped in amazement realising the roads and streets have dramatically changed also.
Silently riding back to her home that hadn't been touch for years, it was only her returning no one else. But she didn't mind tho.
That home she owned send shivers down her spine, it had been eight years and no one has touched it since. Taking her time to inhale the realisation, she found the courage to enter a home filled with walls and foundation of memories that she wished she could go back too.
"It's been a long time" she sighed.
.
Redoing everything by herself, she went upstairs to see her little princess room she owned. Chuckling at the clutter she left behind she turned to her dressing table, seeing frames of photos that was now covered in dust.
Carefully examining the photo, she dusted off the dust and to her surprise it was a photo of when she was a child alongside with that boy she used to call her best friend.
"Jeon Jeongguk"
The name when she said it felt foreign to her now. The hair behind her neck stood and goosebumps raised up and down her arms, it had been a long time since she's heard herself say that name. It had been awhile and partly the reason why she returned back home, was to see him.
Suddenly the sound of her phone ringing killed the mood, startled at the urgency she quickly answered only to hear the voice of her best friend who was screaming through the phone speakers. In a good manner of course.
"YOU BITCH! YOU'RE BACK!" moving the phone away from her speaker, she laughed at how aggressive but insanely cute she was being.
"Not even a hello?" she chuckles.
"Screw that! Let me see you in personal already so I can attack you—with love of course!" roll her eyes she shook her head.
"Jennie your too cute to attack me" she laughs and she was right. A girl who owned looks like her looked cold but really the opposite to what their looks opposed to be.
She knew this girl ever since she was young, another childhood friend who she's kept contact with along with her other best friend Jisoo. And lucky for her, her another Best friend Lisa who studied abroad in Australia, where she met her, now studied in Korea and every single one of them were close.
