note(spoilers):so before we get into my fictional reaction in story form I'd like to say my reaction (occ). I like the movie I understand some people don't and I can see why but I'm not a very picky person even with things I love that's just me as a person. I didn't expect this movie to break comic book movie expectations or do something extraordinary but I still thought highly of it and was willing to give it a chance when the movie was just rumor and through the teaser and main trailer. I've been waiting a while to see Venom and for me it was worth it. The Eddie and Venom/Symbiote relationship was cute and snarky and just fun to watch I loved the dynamic. Ann wasn't an annoying whinny female interest and I feel like she can really do things, you know. Her boyfriend also had some cute lil lines and stuff too. The cgi was better than I thought I'd be based on the trailers so that's nice I also love what Tom Hardy did with Eddie and Venom alike to bring them alive. Carlton aka Riot was basically just the bigger badder version of our protagonist (the biggreyvillian™️) but he, Carlton, wasn't horrible on his own. I wish they had gone with Carl Mach but that's just my opinion. Also I wish that they hadn't given every symbiote the ability to shape their mass into weapons because I see that is a primarily Carnage thing to do (I mean Riot's hammers were his staple) and giving the symbiotes different skill sets and abilities gives them personality and a way to tell them apart while giving away clear power differences and a variety in the way they fight.
Ok now what I really loved the Cletus (hopefully it wasn't really specified what his name was) middle credit scene a fuck ton. The second I saw them driving to the prison I new. Now he's not my fan cast (that's Cameron Monaghan) but I'd already gotten myself used to him probably being and had already warmed up to the idea of Woody Harrelson being Carnage and so I wasn't surprised to see him there. The wig they used wasn't great (but it'll more than likely be changed in the next movie; hopefully. If not I'll deal) I'm just happy they gave him red hair in the first place tbh.
I liked the introduction for him and I hope Carnage ends up being an awesome character addition. For the people that don't like the casting or the look...get over yourselves honestly. Beggars can't be choosers and if the character/actor does justice trait wise what he looks like shouldn't matter at least we're getting him. I'll love him anyway because he's still an alternate universe Carnage. So yeah if you have any questions feel free to ask if you wanna argue hit me up cause you'll lose I'm a bitch when I have to be, so don't be rude and don't pick a fight everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I bounced into the movie theater past all the protesters wearing my best outfit and trying not to smile to wide. Being judged for liking something kinda sucked sometimes honestly.
Just because a guy and his symbiote were tired of being labeled a monster despite fighting for the people better and more effectively than Spider-man ever did wanted people to know what they were actually about. That they weren't a monster and just wanted to protect the fucking innocent.
People were so blind sometimes honestly. But whatever I've been waiting a more than a year for this adaptation of their interview with Tom Hardy. Tom's my favorite reporter because even for a white boy he keeps it real and he covers hard shit with a determined smirk and a pretty boy laugh. He gets it, the struggles, and if he doesn't he makes sure he learns to understand and he doesn't sugar coat or lie about anything. His YouTube channel's amazing because of that.
Tom interviewed both protectors equally and didn't hold back even while intimidated and Eddie and the symbiote were great and kept shit real too. It's crazy finding out how much everyone's favorite web slinger is such an ass. Tom even agreed!
Either way with their permission Sony decided to adapt the interview into a movie and here I am. Money I saved up swishing in my backpack at midnight basically on October 5th as I walked into the theater after a football game. I was seeing this open night and I fucking meant it. Enmity comics was even going to be giving away their first comic book for the new series their going to start for Venom at the theater I was going to and I didn't want to miss that. Plus cute Venom merch.
Speaking of I was decked out in my black sun dress with white vains running up my neck and shoulders to imitate the new symbiote design Sony and Enmity decided to use, my shimmering white reinforced cons, and my giant hoops that resembled Venom's open mouth, teeth and all. My dreads were done in the school bathroom and were in two Minnie buns on the top of my head. The Venom spider symbol shaved into the shaven back of my head on perfect display. I even did my nails. My fingers were all white my thumbs with their spider symbol in black and my ring fingers half black and white. My toes were just all white but my ankles were decked out in a little chain link vibraniom spider anklet I got off a guy from school. Hell knows if it's authentic or not but it's still cute. I had in a chocker to match it. My Fitbit Alta was a deep red around my left wrist and the custom made charm bracelet I bought off of a guy on Etsy that had little chibi versions of all the symbiotes the public knew off and some I got pictures of off of some pretty unsavory sites that the government didn't want the people to know of also on my right.
I smiled and walked up to the concession counter.
I ordered a large popcorn that came in a cute reusable venom inspired bin was given to me and I had my cream soda in my steal insulated blue-green bottle on the side of my bag already, along with a giant cookies n cream bar and a pack of sour skittles, and was good to go. I thanked worker, took my popcorn and walked towards the vender to get my tickets checked and pointed in the direction of the movie. Fuck I was vibrating at this point.
I sped walk to the movie and when I walked up the dark little hallway after opening the double doors and stepped into the clearing it was filled with people.
"Damn. Glad I reserved my seat so early." I smiled at a girl who complemented my dress and I complimented hers, an all black pencil style with the Venom insignia on the front, she blushed.
"What row are you?" I looked down at my ticket at the question and then looked down the row.
"Yours actually. B8?" She smiled up at me.
"Awesome I'm B9, doll. Think we can talk." My eyes went wide and I ducked my head as I sat down in the seat next to hers.
"Thanks." I murmured. I looked up at her briefly and saw her bite her lip.
"Hay, I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I'm usually not that brave I promise you're just really cute and I kinda wanted to impress you but I guess I failed a bit huh?" She shifted in her seat and I laughed. She looked at me surprised.
"Bullshit." I whispered. "I'm flattered trust me I just don't usually get hit on. Like at all I'm not exaggerating." She laughed with me and then moved closer.
"Everyone else is missing out and blind as fuck." She said. "You are not bad either. A black girl with red hair is pretty hot." She giggled this time and ran her hand through it.
"That's honestly refreshing most people just think it's freaky. Especially since my eyes are brown but have literal green specks in them."
I smiled.
"Really cause that sounds fucking awesome."
"Thanks."
She picked up and started to rummage in her bag then. When she put it back down her phone was in her hand. She smiled at me and then opened it.
"If I could get your number that'd be killer. Shana by the way." My eyes widened and she laughed but I took her phone and put my number and name in.
"Cency." I said handing her phone back.
"Pretty name Cency. Figures." She bit her lip again and chuckled as she slipped her phone in her pocket.
I laughed and turned forward in my seat.
"So what brings you to the late morning premiere of Venom, hmm?"
"Well their fucking interesting and even though I like Topher Grace's channel a bit more Hardy did a good job interviewing them and he's a respectable reporter."
"Eh, Grace is ok, more a Hardy girl myself but I agree with you."
"Yeah. You know goddamn Roman Animations, basically the best video game/cartoon company of any generation, is coming back to do a Venom series?"
"No fucking way!"
"Mhm" Shana leans back in her seat and looks at me out of the corner of her eye.
"I couldn't believe it either. I love these new series of symbiote related developments though." I nodded in agreement. "Hell even Oscorp Tech is about to give Stark a run for his fucking money with the new venom inspired phone. Like back when Samsung did those phones after the battle of New York of the Avengers, just better." I laughed. "I heard about that. Didn't S.H.I.E.L.D sign off on it and everything it's completely safe, legal, and it'll be on shelfs on Halloween?" She nodded excitedly at me and sighed.
"My dad's going to get me one to try and mend the relationship we never had." She scoffed and locked eyes with me.
"I can definitely ask for two if you want one." She shook her head. "No never mind I'm getting you one and you can't not take it." I rolled my eyes and went to ask if she was sure. We did just meet but she shushed me.
"You're fine and this is happening." I slumped and just excepted her claim.
"Anyway." She smiled at me "We could cuddle. It's cold and I didn't bring a jacket. These seats recline with a push of a bottom and the arm rests rise." She waggled her eyebrows and I laughed.
"Sure."

After that we ate popcorn and I shared my candy. Even showing Shana the wonders of adding sour skittles to popcorn while we enjoyed the movie and each other. I definitely had plans for her. After I get that phone though.
