The shadows grinned as they glided over the fire escape, disembodied voice chuckling childishly to themselves. The entity couldn't wait to see the look on the new vigilante's face when they surprised her since without them there to warn her their host would be vulnerable to their attack.

A being of pure white crawled over the roof and headed towards them, body inhumanly long and eyes watching them, an imploring blue-green.

"I don't understand how scaring her will get you a positive welcome," undistinguishable lips parted in a black grin that was more the baring of sharp teeth, the voice was low and grating. Nevertheless the goblin's words resonated through the darkness.

We're the princes of the universe,"
"Here we belong, fighting to survive
In a world with the darkest powers.
Heh,"

Hearing what sounded like a body jumping, the shadows quickly ascended the ladder, poking their head over the top to see Cency facing away from them, indeed haven jumped by her stance, fingers moving on imaginary strings. Their head tilted as the magic user jauntily walked to the left, singing as she went.
