Third Pov

Leah laid in the hospital bed, an I.V in one arm, a blood transfusion in the other. Next to her was bundles of flowers of every color, stacked on the table. Allie slept with her head on Leah's bed. Leah has been asleep for about three days.

Suddenly Leah sat up with a gasp, her arm going to her chest, her violet eyes opening in shock. Tears went to the corner of her eyes and she looked around. She opened her mouth to speak, but she suddenly remembered. Tears now poured as she sat quietly.

Allie moved her head to look up at her friend, when she felt the movement and vibrations.

"Leah!" She cried, using hand signs.

'Hi.' Leah responded silently.

"You're awake! Let me get a doctor." Allie replied, before getting up, and leaving. Leah didn't reply, not like she could.

Her eyes glanced to her bandaged arms, and around the white walls. The door opened slightly, to show Alphonse, the Suit of Armor, peek in, unsure.

'Al.' She mouthed, and did hand signs on her lap, not that he could read them.

"H-Hey Leah, How are you feeling?" Al asked. Leah shrugged as she signed and mouthed slowly.

'Fine, I suppose.... Tired though.' Al nodded slowly.

"Yeah. I was trying to teach myself Sign Language, while you were out. Could you help me?" He asked Leah. She grew confused, and her face must of shown it. "I wanted to learn because I want to talk to you, and Allie. Plus there isnt anyone else to teach me... and Jen doesn't have patience with me." He answered both her silent questions. She nodded.

'Oh, then can you understand me?' Leah signed slowly for him.

"Uh... I can.. but if you mouthed words, its easier for me to understand." Alphonse spoke. She nodded.

'I'm glad you take time out to learn Sign Language, to speak to me.' Leah worded as she signed.

He laughed and somewhat gave me the impression that he was smiling. "Of course I would. That's what friends do for one another." He also gave off the impression that he wasn't saying something. Leah gave him a look. He laughed, seeing that she figured him out. "And I had nothing better to do, but I think its still worth it." Alphonse admitted. Leah nodded again, but still felt as if he wasnt saying something.

'When can I get out of here?' Leah worded and signed. He shrugged.

"I don't know, you were hurt pretty bad when you fell." He admitted. She shrugged.

'I want to go home.' She signed and worded slowly, looking upset.

"Your home is being fixed right now, because of the Attack from Scar, he ruined the sewers, and stability of the houses." Alphonse told her, while signing.

"Oh.. Where's Edward?" Leah signed and worded, now seeming curious.

"He.. He's in the other room.." Al signed and said a little sadly looking down.

"Is he alright?" She signed and worded a bit too quickly, Al seemed to understand it though. He just nodded.

"Yeah, he just tired himself out.. and Winry came and-"

"Al?" It was Winry Rockbell, the blonde mechanic for Edward's automail.

"Hey Winry. Are you finished?" Alphonse asked. Winry shook her head.

"I need to make him a new automail arm, and we need to go back home for that." Winry told Alphonse. Leah watched silently. Winry looked at Leah and smiled at her. "Hello. I'm Winry Rockbell, I'm Ed and Al's friend. Also Ed's mechanic, but thats on the side." Winry said smiling. Leah waved, and motioned her head to Alphonse.

"Oh. This is Leah, she can't talk, but she's an Alchemist too."  Leah nodded and forced a smile to Winry.

"Oh, well, it was nice meeting you Leah, I actually should be heading home before Ed does, so I can get started on the automail." Winry said. "I hope to see you around, bye Al, I'll see you at home." Winry said and shut the door behind her. Leah and Alphonse looked at one another for a few minutes. Leah looked away and down at the ground after a while. Alphonse went to say something but the door opened again this time with Allie and a doctor.

"It seems you're awake then." He said and gave a fake smile to Leah. Leah mutely nodded. "How are you feeling? Does anything hurt?" He asked and sat down in a chair infront of her bed. She shrugged and locked eyes with Allie, before using handsigns and wording.

"Headache, tired, hungry, thirsty and the usual, but that's expected." Allie spoke outloud somewhat hesitatingly as she translated.

"Oh. I'm quite supprised that you lived from such a large fall." The doctor spoke, scribbling down nothings in his clip-board. "You should be free to go in three days."

Leah nodded her head once in a silent thanks, and the doctor left after making sure everything was in order. She sighed and laied down onto her bed, glancing at Alphonse for a moment before sighing and closing her eyes and turning to the wall. Signing slowly for him to see.

'Bye.'

Alphonse looked like he wanted to say more, but sighed and left, leaving Leah to herself in the white room.

Allie stood watching her friend.

It was quiet for a few moments before Allie turned and walked away.
