The Abandoned Town

He kept walking toward us but weirdly though, it seemed like he was trying not to scare us. I felt like I was a bunny being hunted by a fox. Like I was his prey and he was trying to catch me. All four of us started backing up as he kept coming closer.

Then, suddenly I started feeling weak in the knees and very nauseous. My head started to spin, I couldn't breathe. I started falling but Christian caught me just before I fell to the ground.

"Jessie! Jessie! Are you ok?! Jessie!!" He was yelling and shaking me. I was trying to answer but I was too weak.

All I could do was look to my left to see Emily fall too, then I fell unconscious. Next thing I knew though, I woke up in a run-down parking lot. The parking lot was in the middle of a ghost town, and the only thing that looked a little modern was a giant tower that looked to be at least 20 stories tall!

I decided to look around to see if I could find my friends but after a couple of hours, I couldn't find them anywhere. I was so tired, I found the nearest ledge and sat down.

I put my tear-stained face in the palm of my hands. I was scared, scared that I wouldn't go home, scared that I wouldn't be able to survive, and scared that I wouldn't ever see my friends again. I just sat on that ledge, staring at the sky, crying.

Then I felt a tap on my shoulder, I whipped my head around so fast I could feel my brain hit the side of my head. Tears running down my face I saw the person standing there, it was Christian! I was so happy to see him that, without thinking I tackled him in a hug.

I ended up crying on his shoulder and I could feel him shaking as if he was crying too, I felt his loneliness leave his body as he hugged me tighter and tighter.

After a long time, we finally let go of each other and I wiped my tears but he didn't have one tear on his face, so I knew that he wiped his eyes before he let go of me to save his stupid pride!

"Where are the others?" I asked him, "They are in that house." he pointed to a surprisingly quite normal house, "Ok then let's go!" I said, but as I tried to get up I fell right back down.

Oh right, I was tired, I forgot! I ended up needing to lean on Christian while he walked me to the house. When we got there I saw Emily and Hannah sitting in the chairs while Jackson was standing next to Emily.

Emily suddenly got up and tackled me in a hug, and of course, Hannah joined in too squeezing all of us twice as hard. I swear I felt like I was going to snap in half! "I ca-can't b-BREATH!" I yelled out the last word just as they let go.

I fell in the chair gasping for air, then Jackson came up and gave me a normal hug. I swear I thought I saw Christian glaring at Jackson as he was hugging me. Did they have a fight or something?

I let go of Jackson and pointed to the tower "Have you seen that thing?!" Jackson looked at the tower and then looked back at me, "Yeah we were going to go there to find some food but then you guys showed up." he said back to me.

"Oh well, do you want to go now?" I said to him, "Yeah sure we need to find food anyway, it also might be fun!" He exclaimed looking excited.

"Ok well let's get going instead of waiting around in this creepy ghost town!" Hannah said looking at us and then looking at the window. Then we started heading to the tower.

Little did we know though, that decision would ruin our lives......
