The Regret

No everything in there was well, let's just say.... everything was really complicated. I walked into a room with huge gold gears on the back wall, clocks ticking on every inch of the side walls. We were all just standing there so I decided to try to move everyone along "Ok guys! Let's go look for the other cards, I want to finish this with as little time as possible!" I looked at all of my friends to see them looking back at me with a look of disappointment, I then realized what I said. "No pun intended." We started to walk forward when a screen came up out of the walls, Pyron's ugly mask showing through it.

"Hello there game players, I know that half of you haven't been told this and so I am taking the liberty to tell you what your friends cannot." I then remembered, Claire! He was going to tell them!

"NO PLEASE DON'T-" "They have the right to know, and you know that." I knew he was right and so I hung my head shamefully as he showed a picture of Claire on the screen, "Oh my god!"

Emily screamed out before running to a corner and barfing out the little food she had in her stomach. Jackson just stared at it wide eyed, while Christian had a sad expression resting upon his face.

My head was still hanging in shame as I saw tears fall onto the floor from me crying. I did not want to look at the picture, for why would I want to see that painful view again? "Jessica and Christian already saw this and because they didn't want to make the situation worse for anyone, they didn't tell you."

Emily looked up from her bent over position to me, looking at me with shock and betrayal. Jackson was glaring at Christian, who was squirming feeling the threatening stare of the short teenager. He continued, "The reason I have done this is because I made a mistake, oops! I forgot to make sure Lika told you one thing that is kind of important." I looked up slowly with pain in my eyes, tears streaming down my face.

I barely whispered, "Can anything be worse than this?"

Somehow he heard me and answered, "Well, I think you will find this worse. 'Cause you have a time limit on each floor and that is reason that Claire tragically died in the first place."

It took me a minute to understand what he said, but when I did my head shot up and I had a look of horror across my face. "What?" that is all I could say at that moment,

"So what I am trying to explain to your dumb minds, is that on each floor there is a time limit. I will admit that the time limit for this floor was rather short and I will fix that." We slowly understood each word and at each word our faces morphed into a face of horror. I looked around and I saw Emily, bent over holding her stomach looking at me, betrayed. I looked at Jackson, he was on the floor curled up in a ball, mumbling something no one could understand. I turned to Christian and saw him looking at me sadly, and as if knowing that I was hurting he walked over and hugged me. "Well I have to go and prepare for my daughter's coronation so.... Chao!" and with that the screen turned black.

Emily stood up straight stomped over to me, she stood for a second looking at me angrily before a loud SLAP! filled the room. I rose my hand up to my tear stained face and the minute my finger touched my cheek, I felt a stinging pain shoot through my face. "How dare you not tell us about this! What were you thinking! We have been best friends since childhood and you just, decided not to tell me that Claire is dead?!"

I looked at her with tears running down my already tear stained face "I didn't want to tell you because she was our friend! When I saw her like that I was heartbroken and I didn't want you to feel that same way!" She thought for a second, "Well now I am heartbroken because you thought you had the right to keep my friends death A SECRET!"

I stared at her, shocked. I have never seen her this upset, sure she has gotten mad at me but right now she was infuriated and I was the one that caused it. I fell to the floor, thinking that I just lost both of the only friends that understood me, cared for me, loved me. All because of a stupid decision I made. I let out a loud sob as I held my head in my hands, chanting "I'm sorry...." over and over again.

Christian came over to me and started to hug me when I pushed him away, "I'm sorry, but you aren't the friend I need right now." I said as I looked over to Emily with sad eyes. I saw regret flash in her eyes before they went back to an emotionless gaze.

She turned around, leaving me to cry all of my regrets out this hell of a building.
