The Light

I woke up to slight sniffling, I sat up to see who the noize was coming from to see that Lika was watching us peacefully sleeping, while silently crying to herself. Careful to not wake anyone up I whispered to her "Lika what's wrong why are you crying?"

Realizing I was awake she quickly wiped her tears and glared at me, "I was crying because I am frustrated because I can't kill you yet." I quietly rose up standing, wincing in pain from the ankle that was still swollen in pain. She saw it and whispered, "Ha! See you are so weak that you are wincing at a swollen ankle."

I looked up at her in shock before slowly limping over there, I then stood in front of her watching her look at me with confusion. "You see I don't think that is true" her face morphed into a expression of shock.

"It is true. Why else would I be crying? I'm no weakling like you. I'm not nice, and I don't have friends, I don't need them."

I looked at her in disbelief "No, I never said that you weren't strong, but you are nice. Why else would you be whispering right now? If you weren't nice you would be yelling at me waking them up. You want friends and that's probably the real reason why you were crying in the first place. I don't know about you but I feel like you are really lonely and you need a friend. Don't you agree?"

She thought about it, a sad expression on her face before it turned into a look of anger. "No! I don't need friends! I don't want friends! I am not nice and I am proud to have a man like Pyron as my father!"

I looked at her with pity and amusement as she stomped away.

I heard slight groaning, "What is going on?"

I gave Jackson a smile "it's nothing don't worry about it you can go back to sleep now." I heard rustling as it went quiet once again. I was about to go back to sleep as well but as I was turning around I saw a ball of light, I started walking towards it.

Wait don't forget the traps! Now being careful of where I was stepping I followed the light. As I came closer to it I found out that it was a rubber ball that had a shadow of some type of scroll showing through the rubber.

I was just about to grab it when it moved! I jerked my hand away, startled before going to grab it again just to have it roll away. I ended up limping slowly behind it trying to catch it, failing miserably.

Until it stopped in a nearby bathroom, I quickly grabbed it thinking it would roll away again. Squinting my eyes from the bright light I opened it and saw that there was a note inside. I dropped the ball and unroll the note. It read:

Dear Game Player,

I am writing to you again, and of course you may think that this is a trick, frankly I understand if you do. There is one thing I need to tell you though, the friend(s) that you think are dead are actually safe and sound. You might be thinking "I saw her/him for my own eyes being tortured! How could that be true?" Well I am telling you now, that what I am saying is the truth whether you chose to believe me or not. I can not tell you anything else for fear that you might know too much, so I must go now.

Your Fellow Prisoner,

Serenity Blackwood

I stared at the note in shock as questions raced through my head.

Was Hannah really alive?

Wait, what if this was one of Pyron's tricks that he is playing on us again?

Should I believe this Serenity Blackwood?

I don't know, what I should do?

If this is real should I tell my friends about it? Ok I am definitely going to tell my friends about this, not going to risk that past drama again.

Grabbing the ball of the ground, I carefully walked back to the sleeping lumps on the ground, being weary of the traps all around the room. After a few hours of just sitting there, thinking about the note, I shook all of my friends awake despite their protests.

"Why did you wake me up from a wonderful food dream? Emily asked, a frown upon her face.

"Well guys? I have to tell you something.... and I don't know if you're going to like it."
