Chapter 5: A New Life

Just before the Royal family entered the carriage, Ethan walked up to James and Amber "And who are you two little ones?" He Asked nicely, "Princess Amber" Amber Smiled before performing a courtesy, "I can't believe after all these years, mother never told us about you!". "I'm Prince James" James Smiled "Are you really Sofia's big brother?", "Well" Ethan Smirked "I'd say all the crying and embracing is proof enough". Just then the King spoke up "James, Amber, let's not waste time asking questions, we have important buisness to attend to", the Royal family and their newest member got into the Royal Coach and set off back to the Castle. Everyone waved to Ethan as they passed by, "Just wave" Smiled Sofia, Ethan waved very slowly as he was a bit shy due to how many there were. After a short while, something came into view that made his jaw drop, "Wait, that's... your castle" He Asked pointing the castle.

"And YOUR new home" Smiled Amber. "Alright?..." Replied Ethan akwardly, "It's the start of a new life, sweetie" Miranda Smiled as she held his hand excitedly "Don't you worry about a thing". "We're gonna need to prepare a new bedroom for Ethan, right?" James said to his father, "Oh" Roland Replied "I don't think there is one...". "What?" Ethan Asked "No bedroom?", "It looks that way" Said a dissapointed Sofia, but then she had an idea "Maybe you can sleep with me!". "Castles have big bedrooms, of course!" smiled Ethan, "Must be quite the life, eh, sister?" Sofia blushed, "Ha, it sure is."

5 Minutes Later

"Well, here we are, your new home" Roland Said as Ethan looked up at the castle. He didn't say anything, or make a sound, he just looked up in awe. Everyone escorted him inside and gave him a brief hour-long tour.

1 Hour Later

Finally, they reached Sofia's bedroom, "Well, that was a lovely tour" Smiled Ethan "Now i know i've just woke up... but i still feel as i've just woke from hibernation!" Everyone giggled. "That's okay" Chuckled Roland "Take it easy and relax. Besides, dinner with be ready within the next hour". "Perfect timing" Ethan Smiled "Mr stomach here is completely empty!", "My you're quite the comedian!" Laughed Amber, "That's just me" Ethan Winked. "Well, i'm going to rest for now" He Added, "Actually, Bailywick and the Stewerds have a selection of Royal Clothing for you to choose from" Smiled King Roland "the one you're satisfied with will become your traditional everyday outfit", "Very well" Smiled Ethan. Soon Bailywick and the Stewerds came in and presented a range of different peices of Royal clothing and 2 outfits, one white, the other black.

"I prefer black" Said Ethan. "Are you certain, young Sir?" Asked Bailywick, Ethan nodded. "Very well young man" Bailywick Responded "We shall leave you to change out of that worn rain coat", but Ethan had other plans "On second thought" He stopped them, "Throw in THAT aswell" he pointed to a bright red overcoat.

The King looked at the coat, "I... don't think they go together" He Said arkwardly, "Surely they do" Replied Ethan, he tried to fit the coat over the black shirt, but it was no good. "I tried to tell you..." The King said under his breath, "Perhaps I could be of assistance" Said a familier voice. "Oh, hi Mr Cedric!" Smiled Sofia, "I heard a coat is too small to fit?" He Replied, "You're welcome to try Cedric" Said Roland "But i don't think it goes with that outfit". Cedric walked up to Ethan and performed a width increacement spell to make the coat fit him like a glove. "Nice!" Beamed Ethan "Thank you, er... Cedric", "My Pleasure" Cedric Smiled. "Now let me just get rid of this..." Ethan Said to himself as he tore off the red and gold banner, everyone was shocked "Ethan what are you doing!?" Exclaimed Roland, "It would obiously get caught on something at some point or another" Ethan gave the King a stern look "Besides, it looks cooler without it". "Well... alright" Said Roland "But don't do that again", "Oh, i see how it is" Ethan Said playfully "17 years old and not allowed to make his own choices? what kind of king are you?". Everyone Gasped but the King wasn't angry, instead he playfully replied "A GOOD one" everyone giggled at this, "You may be the one in charge, but I'm the one with the jokes" Ethan Winked. King Roland continued to eyeball him playfully and Ethan did the same, untill finally they both erupted into belly laughter. After 5 whole minutes, everyone had calmed down and were trying to catch their breath from laughing so hard, "THAT!" Exclaimed Roland "Was the funniest moment i've ever experienced!", "Well, we'll let you get dressed now honey" Miranda giggled.
