Chapter 26: A Royal Debut - Part 1

"It's nearly time!" King Roland Beamed "Just 1 more hour to go!", "I can't wait!" Squealed Sofia, "Neither can i!" Squealed Amber "Our family will soon officialy be one member bigger!". "Every time i think about Prince Hugo, i always wonder what having a big brother would be like, and now i finally get to find out!" Smiled James, "Well we should all go and get prepared" Decleared the King. "I'll go and tell Ethan" Smiled Sofia and she ran off to find her big brother, Chernabog was on Sofia's bedroom balcony overlooking the sea, all the while smiling evily "FINALLY... IT IS TIME TO ENDULGE THIS WORLD IN NOTHING BUT PURE HELL! AND TO ENSURE THAT ALL MAGIC IN EXISTANCE IS NO LONGER EXISTING!", "Ethan!" Called Sofia "Where are you!?", Chernabog quickly turned around "Out here!" He Responded sounding cross. Sofia came out to the balcony "It's finally time!" She Beamed "I can't wait for you to earn your place here in the Royal Family!", "I know" Chernabog Said forming a small subtle smile "How long?", "About an hour" Sofia Smiled, "Very good" Chernabog Replied "We better get dressed early in case we all forget", "Good idea" Said Sofia and she and a few maids entered her wardrobe to get her prepared. Chernabog on the other hand was way ahead of her, he waved his arms around human disguised body and performed a dark spell and within a split second, his royal uniform's color changed from black to red and his overcoat turned from red to black, Sofia emerged from her wardrobe wearing the exact same dress she wore for her debut ball all those years ago.

She gazed in awe at her big brother's amazing new outfit "Wow! I love the new colors!" She Smiled "It really suits you". Chernabog Smiled, "And aren't you the most adorable little morta- I mean flower". Sofia giggled, "Aw, thank you". They both went to check on the rest of the family, Sofia knocked on the door "Enter!" the King called, and they both entered. Amber and James were both also dressed in the exact same attire they wore for Sofia's debut ball.

Even Roland and Miranda were doing the same, "There you are my big Royal boy!" Miranda Smiled and she raced over to hug him. Chernabog felt like attacking in rage, but he kept his cool and thought of an idea "Mother" He Smirked "Do you want the tickle demon to return?" and he moved his hands towards her stomach, Miranda squealed and jumped back "No!" She Smiled, "As i thought" Chernabog Smirked "Now, does ANYTHING need to be dealt with before the ball begins? I don't any last minute delays, just like the rest of you". "Well, your mother and I need to go and greet the guests when they arrive" the King Replied "but apart from that, there's nothing else that needs attending to". "Very well" Chernabog Decleared "I suppose I shall do this in the meantime" and he walked towards the centre of the room and began dancing in a very strange fashion.

Everyone quite rightly burst out laughing "What is that?!" Laughed James, "I have absolutely no idea!" giggled Amber, "If there was ever a funniest royal in the world, that would be my brother!" Laughed Sofia. While everyone was busy laughing with each other, Chernabog quietly slipped out and marched towards the nearest wall "1 MORE HOUR, GENTLEMEN" he said evily "SOON THE ENTIRE PLANET SHALL BE SUBMERGED INTO PURE DARKNESS! AND ALL BEINGS THAT INHABIT IT SHALL BE SACRIFICED FOR MY OWN PERSONAL PLEASURE. WHAT SHALL I NAME THIS TIME ALTERING EVENT? THE FALL OF HUMANITY? OR PERHAPS... THE SECOND HELL?". Just then Bailywick came around the corner "Sir Ethan!" He Called "The maids forgot to style your hair, please follow me", Chernabog Growled under his breath "Very well, make it quick... and I mean QUICK" he followed Bailywick to Sofia's bedroom "Don't worry, it'll only take around 10 minutes, there's still plenty of time before the ball". Chernabog sat down at Sofia's desk just as maids Suzette and Violet came in "Good evening, your majesty" Smiled Violet, "We're here to get your hair prepared, this won't take long", "It better" Chernabog Growled, Both maids were concerned, but they did as they were tasked.

10 Minutes Later

"All done!" Smiled Violet, Chernabog opened his eyes and groaned in reaction to his current hairstyle "What is that? I look ridiculous..." He Growled, "No you don't" Frowned Suzette "All teenage boys have their hair flatened down, your younger brother certainly does". "Whatever" Chernabog Groaned "I'll be on my way" and he stormed out in a hurry. "47 MINUTES REMAINING MY SUBJECTS, ONLY THEN SHALL I EXTINGUISH THIS PLANET'S VERY CORE!".
