Chapter 30: Darkness Rises... Part 1

Everyone watched as the fake Prince slowly decended the left staircase, He decided to impress the crowd so he tripped himself on the last few steps. Everyone gasped in horror, but Chernabog quickly reacted by performing a front flip and landing on his feet, everyone cheered loudly "Wow!" Beamed Sofia, "What a recovery!" Smiled James. Chernabog calmly walked stage and joined King Roland, "Greetings" Chernabog Smiled "I... am Ethan, Princess Sofia's long lost brother... Throughout her entire life growing up, she never knew of my existence... but she never forgot about our real father. As of this moment in time... our real father's current whereabouts are largely unknown, but aside form that... It is astonishing that I myself have even survived... being locked in an ark for more than a decade. But now i have finally returned! at first i was unsure about my new life within these very walls... but i have learned to move on from all those dark times, and to accept this fine man" He Smiled over at Roland "As my NEW father figure" He ended impressivly.

Everyone cheered and applauded loudly as Chernabog and Roland shuck hands, "Well, there you have it!" King Roland Smiled happily "It's been a very long and emotional journey for him... but he's starting anew, from this day forward... he'll reunite with his mother and little sister and become the newest member of the Royal Family tree!" everyone applauded once again but even louder this time. "Oh... may i use the lavatory?" Chernabog Whispered, "Of course" Roland quietly Replied, Chernabog left the ballroom while Roland continued talking about the things the REAL Ethan got up to since the day of his revival.

"THE DEATH OF MAGIC IS AMONG US..." Chernabog Decleared in a dark tone "IT IS TIME MY ARMY... RISE UP!... CONSUME THE CASTLE! PURGE THE KINGDOMS! DESTROY THE EVER REALM!!!"

Soon the Army of Darkness had split up into multiple squadrons and were moving in on every kingdom in the Ever Realm, muliple rows of Dark Soldiers loudly marched into the villages and began to destroy everything and attack every living being in sight. In Dunwiddie and Summerset, roofs of cottages and stores were being set on fire and the people of Dunwiddie Village were screaming in terror... but everyone attending Ethan's Debut Ball knew nothing of this.

"I have returned!" Chernabog Decleared, "Ah good" Smiled Roland "Now since you'll forever be a Royal from this day forward, it's important you get to know the other royal families of the Ever Realm" and so Chernabog walked over and began chatting with the other Royals, but in reality he was distracting them from finding out what was going on outside of the castle.

Meanwhile

Ethan had just arrived at the base of a hill "Nearly there..." He Panted heavily "Almost... home" as he was nearing the top, the was an orange glow that grew brighter and brighter "What... is that?" He Said weakly. Once he made it to the top, he almost had a heart attack in reaction, there was Enchancia... being demolished into nothing. Ethan stood there with tears in his eyes "Enchancia... my home... under destruction... by Chernabog's Army!" his face was now like thunder, he was now full to the brim with determination and felt a lust for heroism "Time to end this end of the word expirience... once and for all". He then proceeded to jump off the cliff and divebomb strait down to the ground, the moment he hit the concrete road there was a massive magical shockwave... he then emerged from the rubble with the feeling of pure anger burning his soul away.

He took out the Ultimate Blade and charged into the flaming village all the while roaring at the top of his lungs in rage "I'LL KILL YOU ALL!". He sliced through a Dark Soldier who was terrorizing a villager, the villager incovered his face and looked straight at Ethan in shock "S-Sir Ethan!?" He Exclaimed "What are you doing here!? i thought you were attending your royal debut ball", "My Debut Ball..." Ethan Gasped "Sofia!" he starting racing in the same direction. The sounds of pain filled cries and terror filled screams were coming from all directions as well as Dark Soldiers, Royal Guards and Villagers running all over the place. He suddenly spotted a mother and child being threatend by a Soldier of Darkness, he immidietely charged at the Dark Soldier but it noticed him charging in it's direction and it dodged his incoming attack, thus engaging them in a dual.

Ethan - Swings blade left

Dark Soldier - Swings blade right

(Both blades clash together)

Dark Soldier - Gets stunned from clash

Ethan - Swings blade right

Dark Soldier - Gets sliced in half

The Soldier's remains faded away into a white light, Ethan turned to face the mother and child "Oh thank you for saving me and my son!" The Mother Cried and she hugged Ethan tightly, "Shhhhhhh... it's ok, everything's going to be alright" Ethan Soothed. The little boy uncovered his eyes and saw the hero teen towering over him "My hero!" He Cried and he hugged Ethan's leg as tightly as he could, Ethan could only smile "The Ultimate Prince is ALWAYS loyal to his people, and all that dwells within his home, and protects them with his life", his expression then turned serious "Listen, i need you to take yourself and your mother, find somewhere safe and hide. And DON'T come out untill you hear absolute silence, understand?", "Y-Yes Sir!" Replied the boy and he took his Mother's hand and they both went to look for some place safe to hide. "Stay safe!" the mother Called to Ethan, "As to you!" Ethan Called back and he turned back around and continued pushing his way through the chaos that continued to ensue.
