"Where have you been?"
"Uhh... Out?"
"Well you're lucky you came in time for dinner. I hope your hungry because were eating now. You can go change."
"Okay mom."
Thank god i made it back in time. If i didn't come to dinner i would be so dead. My mom is serious about family dinners so she won't let me eat anything 2 hours before dinner. Well that's only if she's actually not busy.
If she's busy or not at home i can eat whenever i liked. That's something I enjoyed.
Welp it's time to eat.
As i go downstairs a scent wafted around the house slowly. That scent caught my attention.
I sniffed the air again.
Fried Rice.
I quickly go downstairs to see a bowl full of fried rice in front of my spot.
I go sit down and thank my mum for cooking this delicious meal.
"How's school?" my dad starts off.
Every time we had a family dinner my dad would always start off with that question.
"It's all good, nothing much has happening. I'm glad my exams are over though, but i still have to study for the next one. When will the exams stop?"
"Well good luck with that Youngmi."
"Thanks. How are you doing?"
"I''m doing fine, I don't want to move up just from hearing you. I don't want to study, I'm too lazy for that."
"Well, guess what, you have to."
"Can you do it for me?"
"No, you need to learn too, I don't want a sister that doesn't become successful."
"You shouldn't give me too much hope, what if i don't succeed?"
"You can do it, I know it, especially when you're from the Min family. We're all smart."
"Except for me."
"Don't say that, you are."
I continue to stuff my face with fried rice while my sister and dad are chatting, my mom occasionally joining the conversation.
My sister, Min Youngmi, is beautiful, talented, smart, nice and many more other complements. While I'm the one that is the opposite of her. I don't even know why she has hope in me.
She's also one year older than me so shes in the same year as Chan and Woojin. I wonder if they know each other or are in the same classes.
I finished my fried rice and went back to my bedroom.
