"Hey Eliza, want to know how you wake up Lady Gaga?"
What the heck, who is this crazy person that just woke me up, because they aren't going to be alive anymore.
"P-P-P-POKE HER FACE, P-P-P-POKE HER FACE!!"
I suddenly felt two fingers stabbing my face. I growled sleepily. Although, that voice sounded a lot like...
"MEL?" I said questioningly, "Why the heck are you in my room so early!?"
"First of all, its not early, its 2pm. And that brings me to my next point, why the hell are you still sleeping at 2pm?"
What? 2am? But.. How? I feel asleep so early yesterday, like 4:30ish. Thats so weird. I sat up.
"I can't believe how much I slept, how is that even possible?" I asked.
"I don't know, but I have really big news!" She said with a smile. Of course she does, she always had big news.
"What is it?" I yawned.
"Well," she started, "Remember that seriously gorgeous guy named Xavier?"
How could I forget him? I haven't stopped thinking about him for almost 48 hours. I nodded my head and waited for her to continue.
"I saw him at the park playing with his younger brother, I think, and so I invited him to my birthday party!" she said excitedly.
Oh no. I don't really want to see him anytime soon, things would be really awkward.
"But thats not all, kids," she said, trying to sound like those people on commercials, "he said, exactly, 'I will go if Eliza is going, I want to talk to her'!" By now her smile looked so big it could cure world hunger.
How was I going to get through this? I couldn't talk to him.
"Oh no, did I do something stupid," Mel asked me, noticing my face.
"No, no I'm really excited," I said, giving her my best fake smile.
I' ve been doing that alot lately.
"Melina, your mom is outside waiting," informed my mother. Good, that means she can go and I could be alone to think.
"Right, well see you later, we need to get outfits for the party!" she said. As she walked to the door, she said one last thing, "Oh and by the way Xavier said he really wanted to talk to you today, so I gave him your number. Thats ok, right"?
"Yea, sure. No problem at all." I'm gonna kill her. First she wakes me up like a lunatic, then she gives my number to an unknown thing. And not just any unknown thing, but a hot one.
"Knock knock," said an idiot other wise known as Trevor. So much for being alone. I really need to start shutting my window.
"You know, you could actually just knock."
"I could, but then you wouldn't let me in," he said.
"What do you mean let you in," I said as I turned to face the window, "I didn't-".
"Well surprise! I'm already in so deal with it," he said with a smirk. "And you're in no position to be rude to me considering you slept through our little study date".
Oh yeah! I completely forgot about that. Did he just call it a date?
"Sorry about that. And did you just call it a date?" I asked. Like I would ever date Trevor.
"It is if you want it to be, sweet cheeks," he said, smirk still clear on his face.
"Ugh, as if," I gagged.
"Whatever, but you know you want me."
"Cocky much?" I asked.
"You love it."
"As much as I love the black plague," I teased.
He walked over to my desk and sat down.
"You can't just climb into my room through a window and sit down at my desk," I said as a walked over to my desk to take my phone.
"Apparently, I can because I just did," he shot back. "Oh, whats this?" he said as he grabbed my phone before I could get to it.
"Hey, give me back my phone!" I yelled at him. Taking a girls phone is the same thing as taking a boys XBOX and smashing it to pieces.
"Uhm, sorry, but it's just so cool," he said sarcastically as he stood up and and ran to the other side of my room.
"It's not funny, give it back," I wined. Hopefully he wasn't on my camera roll, that way he couldn't see all my selfie's.
"You're right, its not funny. It's hilarious!" he said laughing. This guy is fast! He must have been on a track team at his old school, he's like a cheetah.
"Oh look, you're getting a text message from unknown. Mysterious!" he said, opening the text. Unknown? Who could that be? I tried grabbing my phone but his arm kept blocking me. He should be a basketball player, too.
"Lets see, what do we have here, 'Hey Eliza, just wanted to make sure you were going to Melina's party. I want to talk to you, but we should talk in person. I need to tell you something'," he said in a weird voice. "Aww, does Eliza have a crush?" he teased.
"Come on, Trevor, give me my phone," I pleaded.
"Okay fine, but let me read the rest of the message first," he said. "Well where were we? 'I really hope you're going. Sincerely, Xavier.'" His smile fell when he read that.
"Uh, Trevor? You okay?" I asked. He handed me my phone back without a word.
"Yea, but like I said before, I don't like that guy."
"What? Come on, you can't just 'not like' someone, there has to be a reason," I said to him. How could he not like Xavier? He's nice and he's funny, not to mention he's super smart, too. And the day we went to my house early was really fun, until that weird part where he was being really mysterious. I frowned, I didn't want to think about that.
"Well I just get a bad feeling from him. You can't blame me! You saw how weird he gets, I know you did. And you thought the same exact thing! You thought 'Wow, why is he being so secluded and weird'. Well I know why. And trust me, you don't what to know, so stop thinking about it and just stay away from him, or anything that seems weird," he said, seeming angry for some reason.
I was about to say something, but then thought about what he said.
"What do you mean you know why? And yes I do want to know! Trevor, you have to tell me! Why is he always like that?"
He paused. "I can't tell you, Eliza. I'm sorry I was yelling, but you have to trust me and just stay away from him," he told me.
I couldn't do that. I was going to find out what Xavier was. And now that I know Trevor knows, I'm going to make him tell me.
"I got to go, but just please listen to me," he said as he walked back over to my window and climbed back into his room.
I sighed once he was gone, and closed my window. I needed a plan to make him tell me, because I'm not the kind of person that lets things go easily.
After thinking for a while, I finally got a plan.
