Lia finished pasting taping all of Gabby's pictures to the wall and then flopped onto her bed. Gabby looked over and grinned. Lia frowned. "How did you know that guy?" Gabby groaned.

"He's my ex." Lia looked up incredulously.

"That's  why you hate him?" Gabby flopped onto her own bed.

"No. I hate him because he dated my best friend afterward and got them into a car accident. She didn't make it." Lia gasped.

"No! Seriously?" Gabby nodded and smiled despite herself. Lia made this sound like a soap opera.

"Yeah. And he never apologized or anything. Didn't even come to the funeral. And then he had the audacity of asking me out again. Can you believe that?" Lia clucked her tongue and shook her head.

"That's a waste of a good face." Lia sighed. "If he was nice, and didn't have such a sarcastic attitude, he might have been boyfriend material." Gabby agreed.

"Yep. I don't know why I ever went out with him." Lia shrugged.

"The world is full of mysteries." Gabby bit her lip, hiding a smile. Like Shane, she thought. And immediately erased the thought. Lia turned on her side and giggled. "Do you think Xander is cute?" Gabby smiled.

"I guess so. He had that surfer boy edge to him." She said and Lia nodded.

"M-hm. And he was gorgeous!! I call dibs, though. So he's mine." Gabby nodded.

"Okay. That's fine by me. Besides, I like somebody else." Even though it seemed bad, she wanted Shane. He was just her type. Minus the name calling. Dark and mysterious. Lia snapped her fingers.

"Gabby! I asked you who you liked." Gabby shook her head. She shouldn't tell Lia. I mean, she hardly knew her. She seemed nice, but she might go blabbing. She seemed like the type who would accidentally let something slip. Gabby shrugged.

"It's somebody in this school. That's all I'm saying." Lia frowned. And lay all the way back on her bed. She quickly sat back up. She had a mischievous look on her face. Gabby pursed her lips. "Why are you looking at me like that?" She asked.

"Do you wanna see a picture of Shane when he was little? He hates when I show people, but since he called you a mean name, It'll kind of be like payback." Gabby thought about that. She wanted to get back at Shane but she didn't want to invade his privacy. She nodded eventually. Lia pulled out her phone and pulled up the picture. Gabby burst out laughing.

"Ha! He looks so stupid! Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!" The door opened and there stood a pissed off Shane.
