Gabby's heart fell to the floor. Ah crap, she thought. Lia was looking everywhere but at Shane. Gabby decided to play it cool. "What's up, Shane?" She asked. Shane ignored her.

"Lia. May I have a word. Please." He emphasized. Lia bit the inside of her cheek. She hunched her shoulders, making her look like a sad puppy. Shane grabbed her arm and pulled her into the hallway. When the door closed, Gabby snuck over to the door and peeped through the eyehole. Shane looked and sounded pissed.

"You had no right to show a complete stranger pictures of me when I was younger. Why'd you do it?" He asked. Lia exhaled loudly.

"Why do you hate those pictures so much?" She asked. Gabby pressed her eye closer to the door, straining to hear and see.

"You know why." Shane said in a low voice, crossing his arms.

"Because of Lucy. Am I right?" Lia asked. Shane looked away from Lia. "She can't hurt you anymore. Shane look at me." Lia put her hand against Shane's cheek and pulled his face in her direction. She dropped her hand, and her voice became gentle. "Shane, she can't hurt you. Just try to forget about her." Shane glared at Lia.

"You know I can't forget." He growled. Lia gave a weak smile.

"Then put her in the past. Where she belongs. You can't let her take over your thoughts." She said. After a beat, Lia stood up straight, bringing her arms up to brush off Shane's shoulders. "Now. Let's get you a drink of water and maybe a little snack. How does a Hot Pocket sound?" Shane turned on his heel and walked away. Lia sighed and shook her head. As she turned toward the door, Gabby threw herself across the room and pretended to be inspecting Lia's DIY chandelier made from Christmas lights.

Gabby turned around and acted surprised as Lia came through the door again. "Hey. So, what did Shane want?" Lia smiled.

"Oh nothing. He was just a little mad that I showed you that picture. Nothing important." With a reassuring smile, Gabby grinned back. She'd leave it alone. For a while. There was a knock on the door and the two girls shared a look. "It must be Shane again." Lia said. The two girls headed toward the door and Lia opened it. It wasn't Shane.

Xander was back and beside him was Andrius. Kissing Jenna.

God dammit....
