Peter tried to get out of dinner night with the Stark family. Miss Potts' offer had been kind to include him in Harley's weekly "family time," and while the thought of a home cooked meal over Ned's pizza pockets was tempting, the idea of being in the Avengers tower sent bile up his throat on more than one occasion.

"They hate my guts. I can't go up there! What if they all decide to gang up on me? I'd be toast!"

Though, despite his best excuses and repeated attempts to dissuade Harley from dragging him out of the dorms, right up to the Avengers Tower, past 9 levels of security, past the freaking Winter Solder himself, up an elevator, and getting seriously side-eyed from some weird guy in an all-black and green leather, Peter ultimately failed in his goal as Harley pressed his hand up against the Stark Penthouse door.

"Access granted. Welcome back, Mr. Keener." Friday said as the door slid open, and Harley yanked Peter through the threshold.

Peter clutched at his stomach, eyes firmly planted on the floor.

"What if Mr. Stark doesn't want me here? I haven't even seen him since he took down those FISK goons. What if I get him in trouble with the Avengers over me? Shit... I am in so much trouble."

Peter and Harley made their way through the modernly furnished Stark Penthouse, with Harley in the lead.

"Pepper! Mr. Stark! We're here!" Harley proclaimed.

Miss Potts was the first to greet them, stepping out of a bedroom, attaching a set of earrings as she walked through her home, quick to lean down and wrap her arms around Harley in a tight hug. "So good to see you, sweetheart! How are you doing?! How was school this week? Did you learn a lot? Please tell me you didn't burn another lab coat..."

"I'm doing great, Pepper!" Harley beamed as they broke their hug, as he quietly glanced away from her sharp glare. "School was great! I passed my history test, got an A on my history homework, learned a LOT about Wakanda, and only burned.... One?"

Pepper rolled her eyes, sighing as she stifled laughter. "I suppose one is an improvement." She paused, glancing behind Harley, and meeting Peter's gaze. She stepped forward, offering her hand with a polite smile. "You must be Peter. I'm Virginia Potts, though I prefer being called "Pepper" if you don't mind."

"H- Hi." Peter gulped, shaking Pepper's hand and taken aback by her serious professional grip. "Hi, uh, Pepper. Nice to meet you!"

"The pleasure is all mine." Clapping her hands together, Pepper nodded behind her, off to a corner. "Well, I hope you boys are hungry! Mrs. Keener sends her regards in the form of her favorite family recipe!" She guided the boys through the rest of the penthouse, and into the dining area.

Peter's mouth dropped by a mile, as his stomach growled with the ferocity of a starving lion in the savanna coming in contact with a limping gazelle. Before him on a gorgeous dinner table was a fully cooked turkey, dressing, salad, dinner rolls, and a wide variety of vegetables. The smell was like walking into a Hallmark Thanksgiving movie, almost enough to bring him to tears.

Glancing out the window beside the dining room table was Tony, who Harley was quick to rush up to, and hug tightly around his stomach. Tony grinned, ruffling Harley's hair. "How's it going, sport? Flunk out of my school yet?"

"Pfft, as if." Harley snapped back, breaking off his hug and glaring up to Tony. "Throw your back out again this week?"

"No, all good on that front. By the way, I keep meaning to ask how the weather is all the way down there. You must be cold! Should I get you a jacket?" Tony was quick to press his hand down on Harley's shoulders, a good two feet shorter than Tony.
