Chapter 8

That's when it came back he's the one who stood over me and pulled the trigger on a kid ,while he was seventeen.

"Why are you here, why come back?" I asked I kept my voice normal even though inside I was trying to run and hide, that moment of when he pulled the trigger was still in my mind and how I thought I was going to die.

"I just want to finish what I started." as he said that a wicked grin was plastered to his face as he lets go of Mio and walks over to me, I'd been wondering why Mio had been so nervous and now I know why, in the guys hand was a pocket knife with Mio's initials 'MTW' did Mio give him that or did he take it by force. While I was busy thinking, the guy started with his evil and wicked smile that twisted into a grin that shouldn't have been possible as Izourl took Mio's pocket knife and proceeded to carve ' This is war, DEVIL'S CHILD." onto my lower leg, the blade had ripped through my jeans and was slicing up leg pretty bad,once he was done doing that he had signed his initials 'IMT'.

With that he then walked to the door to see a large group of boys at the door.

"Ohh look it's the easter idiots." I couldn't turn around to see the boys. 

"What do you want Izourl?" asked connor, the once frantic feeling of the room settled to a heavy smell of Iron, that smell was blood mixed with the heavy sense of dread wasn't a good combination.

"Just wanted to know why you didn't send a notice of why you didn't show up to the fight, seeing as only three of you showed up and somehow beat my group to a pulp." We knew he was expecting a answer, Connor couldn't answer since he didn't want to tell him what happened before the fight of how I passed out and give him the satisfaction to know that he brought down a member of our group.

"No answer well then...." I was getting dizzy again and thought I would most likely have to fight back, but what I didn't expect was for Izourl walk back to Mio and walk him over to the boys and let him go, but then he says.

"You know what happens when a group chickens on a fight." I knew that because I'd put up a fight with him before and protected myself and the group, I would pay the price. That's when Izourl proceeded to beat the living crap out of me. I had already had a good amount of bruises from the last encounter and now with the amount of blood loss, I was weak and made a small attempt to fight back against Izourl, the attempt only made him laugh.

"If you quit squirming it'll be over sooner." My entire body was going numb seeing as I can't feel pain. The few minutes Izourl spent there throwing punches and kicking me felt like hours to me. When Izourl tried to knock my head into the wall, the boys finally pulled Izourl off of me and we got away. Mio just stared at me the entire way down, shocked that I took the beating for him. After all Mio had smaller siblings than me, and he took care of them unlike their parents he had to protect them. Me on the other hand I had my large family to help me out Mio, he didn't have anyone but himself and our gang, so I was glad to take the beating for Mio.

"You're head is going to need more stitches." Connor said as he sighed. I knew what the boys were thinking, that I was so weak right now that I could barely hold my head up on my own let alone make any attempt to try to hold a conversation with the boys. Mio stared as he said,

"Why did you take the beating November?" Mio Just stared at the floor waiting for me to answer. It took awhile for me to say anything.

"I took that beating for your little sisters, they didn't need a more screwed up brother than you are a-a-already. I started to stutter and felt lightheaded again.

"I'll take a beating for you boys any-." I was then shushed by surrender, who had a worried look on his face.

"November, shut up, you Idiot. We know you'll take a beating for us anytime... Can you just be quiet and stop talking." he said seeing as Surrender had more vast knowledge on medical things and terms he had a better idea of what would happen if I kept trying to talk.
"When we get back call the ESL, we're having a meeting about the actions of the richeys and Wester's." Connor said that, next thing you know all the boys get on their phones and start calling the leaders of the other gangs who are allied with us along with our own gang's leaders.

We haven't had to have a meeting in a long time. The last time was when Connor took charge of our sector of the city and the gangs inside our area of the city. The car ride home was full of calls, text, and talking. The noise was starting to become too much for me to handle so I just put on my headphones and just sat there. By the time we got home the leaders of the : Easters, south, and Listeners were at our house waiting on the front porch. Connor got out of the car and walked ahead of the rest of us.

"Move off the porch we got our own that need to go in first." Connor then turned around and walked back to the car, Luke , Jeff and I got out . I felt the eyes from the listeners and south's guys on me and Mio. I don't know what the entire reason that Izourl went after me and Mio but I knew one thing weather the groups decided to be "November, shut up, you Idiot. We know you'll take a beating for us anytime... Can you just be quiet and stop talking." he said seeing as Surrender had more vast knowledge on medical things and terms he had a better idea of what would happen if I kept trying to talk.
