Hey I'm back again! Thank you so much @TheHamsterNinja for taking the time and reading my story!
---
"President."
My head nodded once.
"You sleeping?"
Yes, you idiot. Or I'm trying to at least so can you please get the stupid hint and be on your way?
Also...
I really don't want to talk to you right now. I can't talk to you.
I don't know how to.
"Val?"
"What, Felix?" I shot up, looking at my vice president. He flinched at my sharp tone but hid it almost immediately.
"I brought the papers." He smiled a bit. The stupid idiot has to know that a small smile isn't going to wash what he did to me away. Especially how he's standing in front of me right now. Appearance really does matter.
His tie was loosened, uneven. His blazer was a little creased around his shoulders and his neatly kept hair is all over the place. Or for the perfect Felix Owens... he looks like a complete mess. I don't know what the happened to him on his way from the main office to the student council room.
I'll just bet fifty bucks that he ran into that girl on the way here.
"You're late." I cleared my throat.
I better not be drooling.
Good. My mouth is drier than sandpaper.
"I'm sorry." He laid the folder down, delicately in front of me. "It's all the information that you need about the new student coming in tomorrow."
I sighed heavily, flipping the folder open. "Did Cox say anything else about this new student? Like why is he starting on a Wednesday in the middle of October?"
Out of the corner of my eye, Felix shook his head. "Just everything you need to know about the transfer student is in there."
I nodded. "You can leave now."
"It's late, Val. I don't think you should –"
"I said, Felix." My eyes finally met his, making him flinch once more. "That you can leave."
"Why are you being like this?" he said, his voice cracked a bit.
Along with my heart but what is that anyway?
"Just leave me alone." I responded, shaking my head. "I don't want to talk about it."
"Why not?"
"Just leave me alone Felix!" I snapped.
He didn't fight it anymore.
Instead, my so-called friend took a step back his eyes falling to his feet. The hurt etched in every inch of his face came into view.
No.
He isn't allowed to look like that after what he did to me. He's no damn allowed to look like a fucking victim after what he put me through.
That night replays in my head every single moment I get some free time to myself. It's affecting me, my health, my grades, my game. If it continues, my family is going to find out and that's the last thing I want to happen. Victor would kill this guy in a heartbeat and that's something I don't want to happen. They've been friends forever. I'm not about to get in the middle of it.
