Meaghan's P.O.V

✥✢✥✢✥

I stepped out of the bath, letting out a sigh of relief. I hated when he got thirsty, hated the feel of his lips on my skin. I hated everything about him. I dried myself, slipping on my underwear and a short, ruffled white dress. I loved the color white; it's so calm. I was a good thing, what with my mood swings. I stepped out into my room. The sheets were still soaked with blood, but he was gone.

Yes

I let out another sigh of relief. he was gone and it was over.

For now, anyways.

I walked out of the room barefoot, liking the way the cold tiles felt against my feet. I let my hand trail along the wall, enjoying the smooth feel. I closed my eyes and kept on walking. I felt my hand run over something cracked and I stopped. I opened my eyes and looked at my hand. It was resting on a crack on the wall. I followed it with my eyes and found that they began at a door. I walked over briskly and opened the door. Her scent hit me like a brick wall, and I stopped where I was. I took a deep breath and stepped forward, closing the door behind me softly. I looked around but she wasn't in the room. That's when I noticed the large dent on the wall and the open balcony, the curtains dancing slowly in the wind. I walked slowly to the balcony and stepped out into the cool, fresh air.

She was flying, her black wings glittering in the sun. It had been a long time since I had last seen a raven in flight. I leaned against the stone rail, my chin resting on my hand. I watched her for a while, until she noticed me. She flew over to the balcony, landing softly on her feet. She was looking at me strangely, her light green eyes turning dark. It felt like she was mad, but even so, I couldn't help but smile.

"I love you, you know that?" I told her.

"What was he doing to you?" She asked, her hand now gripping the tone rail so hard her knuckles were white. I really didn't know what to say.

"...You saw...?" I whispered, turning my face away from her. I felt so ashamed, but it's not like I had choice. I heard her walk closer and rest her hand gently on my shoulder. She made me turn to look at her, a caring look on her face, her eyes light again. I could see the gold specs in her eyes now.

"Did he hurt you?" She asked softly.

"It only hurts when he bites, but he..." I couldn't finish the sentence, I was choking up. She embraced me, gently, and kissed my hair. I wrapped my arms around her, enjoying the feel of her warmth. I cried against her chest, frustrated. She lifted my chin gently and made me look at her. Slowly, she leaned in and gave me a kiss. My body heated up, and I felt like I was falling.

"Can we, can we lay down a bit please?" I asked her. She nodded and held my hand. We walked back inside and I crawled into the bed. I closed my eyes and wrapped the sheets around me. The sheets were cold, and I couldn't help but shiver. I was about to pull them tighter around me when I felt something soft and warm brush against my skin. I opened my eyes and turned around to see her smiling at me, one of her wings covering us. I felt myself smile, my heart beating a mile a minute. I leaned in for a kiss, enjoying her soft lips and the feeling of her tongue. I pulled back, and tucked a strand of stray hair behind her ear. I let my hand trail down her face and she closed her eyes, letting out a deep breath. I felt pleasurable chills run through me as I watched her, her skin glowing. I ran my hands softly along her body, until she fell asleep. I inched closer to her, resting my head next to her chest.

I didn't fall asleep. I couldn't. If someone found us like this...It'd be the end. So I just lay there, looking at her but keeping my senses honed, so I'd feel if anyone came close.
